Clean fit, no play. Works well in low clearance locations. Works with ratcheting wrenches (make sure you don’t back it off too far and get non-reversible ratcheting wrenches stuck if the clearance is that tight) and ratchets to get into locations a allen key couldn’t.

Back in the day I bought the OTC super short xzn. This was the first tool I bought when I started working on Audis and I always recommend them to new techs. Over the years, I lost and broke some but I was too cheap to replace it with another set. One day I decided to buy it again and no one had it. One day I saw another brand selling the same style but they wanted a lot for it and the price kept going up. I remember seeing it over $90 and no way I’m paying that much. Then one day I saw the OTC version on Amazon and I bought it. I got the package and it was a regular style triple square. The listing was wrong. I almost gave up hope, but one day I saw this from a brand I didn’t know, but it looked like the same style as OTC and the price was right so I bought it. They work great. The material is different than the other versions. It feels more like an impact socket rather than the S2 steel from other brands. Mayhew has the dual drive but it is only 1/4” with an 11mm hex. This set allows you to use 3/8” drive or a 16mm on M10 and M12. I will update when one breaks. ... show more

If you're working on a VW GTI, the LEXIVON XZN Triple Square Spline Bit Socket Set is a must-have. Here's why: Performance and Fitment: These tools fit perfectly into the bolts, providing a secure grip. The precise fit helps prevent damage to both the tools and bolts. Tip: Grind the tip of each socket smooth to avoid stripping bolts. However, I met an issue on the transmission case bolts which are very shallow. The front section of the tool sticks out farther before the splines start, leaving very little contact area. This can make it difficult to get a secure grip on these specific bolts. Grinding off this front protrusion remedied this issue. Durability and Build Quality: Made from high-quality materials, these sockets are built to last. The sturdy construction handles high torque applications with ease. The included case keeps everything organized and protected. Ease of Use: Easy to attach and detach, the sockets are user-friendly and clearly labeled for quick identification. Value for Money: Given the quality and durability, this set is a great investment. I purchased these as a set when I started having to work on more and more VW vehicles at my shop. As it’s a tool I didn’t usually have to pull out often I didn’t see the need to get an extremely expensive Snap-On or Matco equivalent for 10x the price. Flash forward to the present day and I now work on Porsche vehicles, and this socket set has never once let me down. I’ve had no issues with them rounding out fasteners or the splines chipping off or anything like that! They work great and continue to perform on a weekly basis. They’re a great price and I couldn’t see myself needing to “upgrade” to another set. I’ve also owned the same Lexivon Hex and Torx set and can say the same for those. They work excellent and at a price you can’t beat. Just get them if you need them! ... show more
