I have been checking out various Korean beauty items as of late when I came across this one. Wasn't sure what to expect since I have mostly used lotion cleansers or Micellular water to take my make-up off. This stuff has an interesting consistency. I would describe it as kind of like a creamy Vaseline maybe? It's NOT sticky like Vaseline though. It's definitely more silky feeling, like a dry oil if that makes sense. It feels a tiny bit greasy going on (as if you were smearing something with the consistency of Crisco on your face) but it does a great job of removing make-up, even thick mascara! What I really love is that my skin feels so soft and hydrated afterwards. It really does melt onto your skin! (I use a damp washcloth to wipe everything off once I have rubbed in it all over my face and neck.) It has a very faint, fresh and fruity scent to it (although I wouldn't say it smells like grapefruit exactly.) Oh, and I have had this product for at least 3+ months and there is still plenty of product left and I use it almost every night. I would highly recommend this product for people with dryer skin. If your skin is more oily, something else may be more suitable for you.

I love the smell of this balm. It goes on smoothly and cleans the face and takes off all the mascara without having to overly scrub your eyes. Leaves your face smooth and moisturized. The smell is amazing. Goes on orange, but doesn't stain. Would definitely buy again.

I double cleanse every day and I start with April Skin Cleansing Balm. I was on the search for a balm that did not leave my skin feeling dry and this one was perfect. It removes my facial oils and makeup with ease and leaves my skin feeling nourished. It does not sting my eyes and I love that its vegan certified. My daughter and I both use this, she has acne prone skin and I have mature dry aging skin. This works well for both of us. I am in the process of buying more :)

Saw this on TikTok and Instagram and wanted to try it for the blackhead removal. The product was a nice orange and smelled faintly like orange and something floral. The texture was smooth and feels a little like chilled butter before you warm it up with your fingers. As you rub, the product emulsifies and you are able to wash it away with water (kinda like soap). There is a slight residue afterwards but it does go away when you use a normal cleanser (which you are supposed to do since this is oil based) which is included if you bought the set. I didn't buy the carotene facial cleanser but it worked fine with a normal cleanser. It is just the balm and is supposed to come with a spatula but I didn't get one so I used one that I had. Because this product was super hyped, I was expecting great things from it. But at the end of the day, I think it's more of a makeup removing balm that happens to also be able to remove blackheads. I didn't see a big difference in blackhead/whitehead removal. It managed to get the part that was above my skin but anything too deep in the pore was missed. But the product does do a good job at makeup removal and simply melts on your skin. TLDR: Great makeup remover. If you wanted blackhead/whitehead removing power, just stick to a clay mask or pore strips. This won't give you as dramatic results as you think. Perhaps if you used it every day for makeup removal, this might keep you blackhead-less for longer. Just remember to follow up with a normal cleanser or you will break out from the balm.

Best cleansing balm! Does the job (really well), doesn’t break me out, smells amazing, and affordable price point. I’ve now bought it 3 times and don’t plan on stopping. It’s a definite go to cleanser. I’ve now got 2 other family members hooked. Never stop making this!

The Carrotene IPMP Hydromelt Cleansing Balm is an okay product, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. It has a nice texture that melts easily on the skin, and the grapefruit peel oil gives it a refreshing scent. However, while it does remove makeup and sunscreen well, I didn’t notice a significant improvement in blackheads or breakouts after regular use. On the plus side, it’s gentle and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, which is great for my oily skin. But for the price, I was hoping for better results. It’s not a bad product, just not the best for me.

It starts off as a balm but will melt into an oil while you rub it in. Good for removing makeup and dirt. If you rub long enough, you'll even pull out sebum plugs. Washes off easily too. My skin has had no reactions to it.
