I was a little reluctant to try and save some money by getting a refurbished Apple watch, some of the reviews sounded like they quality on the refurb was a bit spotty, so I was expecting to get something that looked used but I was totally blown away by what I actually received. The first thing was the shipping speed, UNBELIEVABLE!!! I ordered this at 3PM in the afternoon and it was delivered before 1PM the following day and it shipped from halfway across the country. What I received was a generic box with a well wrapped, like new apple watch series 6 and a an unused OEM packaged apple watch charger. The watch looks like new, it was simple to set up and it works great! upping from a series 3 I love the larger 44mm display, the always on display and the new watch faces but can only give it a mediocre score on battery life, I put it on the charger next to my bed every night and its fully charged every morning when I put it on, but at the end of the night the battery is down to 50%, so I don;t bother with the sleep tacking bit, because then it wouldn't be ready to wear for a full days use the next day. I haven't tried the advance monitoring features but its nice to know they are there. I did put a metal band on it and it makes a world of difference with the comfort and wearability it feels very satisfying on the wrist. . I was considering the SE and changed my mind at the last minute, I think either would have been fine but I do like the always on display, one of the things that bugged me about the series 3 is the display did not stay on long enough sometimes and it was frustrating to tap and roll your wrist repeatedly trying to get the display came back on, but this series 6 doesn't have that problem. All in, I'm happy with my purchase and if I could go back, I wouldn't change anything. ... show more

Watch was functioning perfectly, however battery was starting to fail and Apple doesn’t replace a battery being that series age. They just replaced the old watch with a new series 6 watch. This one is working perfectly. Was treated very well by Apple.

update: after a few days of use, I have noticed the battery lasts just about a day. But since I am alternating with the other watch, it is not that big a deal for me. Also, the sleep tracking does seem to be more accurate than the series 4, so that is something I will be using this watch to monitor. I also like to use the "always on" display at work where I look at my watch often. I have a series 4 that has been my main watch for a while, now. It does most of what I need it to do, and it is reliable in the things it does well. But the battery life is not great, as you probably already know. I wanted a backup to wear while I charge it. I tried a cheaper alternative, but I have grown accustomed to certain features, so I got this series 6 to use alternately with my series 4. The "always on" display option might be helpful at work where I look at my watch often. when I synced to my phone, it gave me the option to use my current watch settings, so I did that, which was very convenient. However, both watches have the same name, now, which is less convenient. Not a deal breaker, however. It is disappointing that the spo2 has been disabled by apple. But again, not a deal breaker for me. I am more concerned about the heart rate monitoring, which works pretty well for my purposes. I will try the sleep monitoring, as well, to see if I find it useful. there are plenty of useful watch faces and I like that they can be customized to some extent. I have one for work, and a few others for personal use. I haven't used many other smart watches other than a fitbit, which became glitchy, especially in reading my heart rate. Update I bought this 8/14/2022. It’s 10/4/2025 now. Protected by the same 6-pack of snap-on protectors, the capabilities far outweigh the inconvenience of keeping a device on my wrist. I used to not wear a watch at all, for lack of utility, and lack of comfort. Elastic fabric bands, and cheap snap-on protectors have provided much more protection and convenience than their cost. The battery still gets me through a whole day, and charges in an evening between returning from work and going to bed. Apple needs to come out with something spectacularly better for me to care about upgrading. === Firstly, I’ve never liked wearing a watch, especially because I don’t like most bands available. So this was a big leap of faith. As for value, $260 (at time of purchase) seems reasonable for a backup cellular device like this. Quality There’s a 1x3mm scuff right beside one of the band-slots, but no functionality is hindered, and a case covers it. -no other negative quality issues are noticed (yet). On function -It gives me volume control on my AirPods Pro through, which is the only feature AirPods Pro are lacking in built-in features. -I’m able to get important info without spending time on my phone’s screen (reducing overall usage of screens in a day). -the alarm sounds are well-thought, and the vibration feels like someone is sweetly grabbing my wrist and gently wiggling it to wake me up. On that note, even for me, the watch (and the bands I bought in addition to the stock band) is comfortable enough to sleep in. -watch faces aren’t as diverse and artistic as I hoped, but they’re still decent. I have one that shows me the sun’s relative position in the sky on a time-scale of the day (one of the Solar Dial faces), which makes me think differently about chronologically when I am in my waking hours. Other thoughts -If you’re going to use it for a phone call, don’t lift your elbow high like an antenna to listen on the same side. Cross over your chest and use the opposite ear like a proper Starfleet cadet. -I’m not a wristwatch kind of person, neither am I particularly fashionable. But this is comfy, and the availability of 3rd party cases and bands make it easy to add an essence of expression to your daily demeanor. ... show more

This is not a bad review. Do I like the watch? YES. Am I pleased with the Apple Watch Series 6? Absolutely. I own a SE 2nd Gen and the Ultra 2. I have another review about the Ultra. Anyhoo. I think the issue I have is with seller transparency. I dunno. Do I understand the watch is 5 years old? Yes. Do i understand that the was is "renewed"? Yes. Do I understand what I am getting for such a discounted price? Absolutely. I am happy with the watch. Its a great product. I bought the watched based on the "Excellent" condition description. I received the watch in less than excellent condition. First, the watch came smudged and the buttons were dirty (is that the right word?). So that was a ick. The watch came dead. I'm like, if your selling something at least make the customer feel like they made a good purchase with a charged or a watch that can be powered on. But I get that his watch was prolly sitting in some drawer for months on end. I get it. The bigger issue was that the battery capacity was 77%. The big selling point for me was that Excellent items must have a battery capacity of 80%. Again, I get that this watch is 5 years old. But still. If I order a black watch, then don't send me a silver watch. If the expectation is an 80% capacity, don't send me 77. This kinda tells me that the seller doesn't know their product (or don't care). But i digress. I did end up requesting a exchange of the watch. That was easy and I had no problem getting the exchange. Again, the watch was dead and a lil dirty. The battery capacity on the replacement watch was worse, at 75%. So I've kinda chopped it to the fact that a 5 year old watch is going to be in the 70's. I am keeping the watch though. I like the watch and the deal I got. Just be transparent. Be real about what you are selling. I am going to buy something from Black Market. I wanna see if this issue is with Amazon and the sellers only. Or if it is happening at other resellers. ... show more
