I’ve used it daily for school since I bought it back in October. But now all of the sudden it won’t charge at all, and I’ve bought many different cables to charge. Unfortunately it’s looking like I’m going to have to buy a brand new one. Not happy. Now it’s no longer charging at all. I’ve bought multiple charging cables, charging blocks, I’ve replaced the battery 3 different times, yet no change. It’s now dead and it’s what I use for school. Not the Premium Refurbished Experience I Expected – Apple MacBook Pro MNQF2LL/A (Renewed) I purchased this renewed Apple MacBook Pro (model MNQF2LL/A, Intel i5-6287U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Space Gray) expecting it to arrive in “premium refurbished” condition as advertised, but unfortunately, the reality was mixed. While the laptop itself powers on and works, there were several issues that kept this from being a smooth or satisfying purchase. Condition and Cleanliness The biggest disappointment was the condition of the laptop upon arrival. It was noticeably dirty, with smudges and dust still on the casing and screen, which immediately made it feel less than “renewed.” A refurbished product should be properly cleaned and inspected before resale, and this one looked like it hadn’t gone through that process thoroughly. For a higher-end Apple product, presentation matters, and this did not meet that standard. Missing Accessories The listing described this as a complete renewed unit, but it arrived without a charger. A missing charger is a huge oversight, especially for a laptop, since it makes the device essentially unusable out of the box. I had to purchase a charger separately, which added extra cost and inconvenience. A proper refurbished package should include the essential accessories, or at least make it very clear if they are not included. Product Description vs. Reality This MacBook Pro was advertised as “premium renewed,” but based on what I received, that description feels misleading. The hardware specs (Intel i5-6287U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) are as listed, and the machine runs well enough once powered, but the lack of charger, dirty condition, and overall presentation did not match the promise of a carefully refurbished product. When customers see “premium renewed,” they expect something closer to new in look and feel, not something that arrives looking used. Performance To be fair, the laptop itself does perform as expected once it’s cleaned and charged. The Intel i5 is adequate for everyday tasks, the SSD provides good speed, and 8GB RAM is fine for general use. So the machine itself isn’t the issue—it’s the way it was delivered. Final Thoughts Overall, this was a very underwhelming “renewed” purchase. The laptop works, but the condition and missing charger show a lack of care in the refurbishment process. I can’t give it lower than 3 stars since the device is functional and matches the specs, but I also can’t recommend it as a true “premium” refurbished product. Buyers should be cautious and prepared for extra effort (and cost) to get this into proper working order.
