Description

The MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.8 15-Inch (Dual Graphics - Mid-2014 Retina Display) originally was offered as a "configure-to-order" configuration of the MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.5 15-Inch (Dual Graphics - Mid-2014 Retina Display), but it later was sold as a standard configuration, as well. Other than the processor, these models are identical. The MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.8 15-Inch (Dual Graphics - Mid-2014 Retina Display) features a 22 nm "Haswell/Crystalwell" 2.8 GHz Intel "Core i7" processor (4980HQ), with four independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip, a 6 MB shared level 3 cache, 16 GB of onboard 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM (which cannot be upgraded later), 1 TB of flash storage, and dual graphics processors -- a NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory and an integrated Intel Iris 5200 Pro graphics processor with 128 MB of "Crystalwell" embedded DRAM (and shared system memory). It also has an integrated 720p FaceTime HD webcam and a high- resolution LED-backlit 15.4" widescreen 2880x1800 (220 ppi) "Retina" display in a case that weighs just less than 4.5 pounds (2.02 kg). It does not have an internal optical drive. Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 ports, two "Thunderbolt 2" ports, an HDMI port, an audio in/out port, and an SDXC card slot. In addition, this model has a backlit keyboard, a "no button" glass "inertial" multi-touch trackpad, a "MagSafe 2" power adapter, and an internal, sealed battery that provides an Apple estimated 8 hours of battery life.Compared to its predecessor, this model practically is identical, but it has a faster processor, some different identifiers, and a lower introductory price.

  • A Great keyboard on the best 15" MBP from 2011-2019.
Capacity: 512GB
This model was received on time and sturdily packed. Got online quickly, software was already updated. This is my second Apple MacBook Pro from 2015" with their 15 inch screen. My first MBP was refurbishhed and purchased in 2019. After six good years, the batteries were bloated and the speakers blew out as well in April 2025. Apple would repaire for $750, but I got an identical laptop thoroughly refubished for half that price ($340) through Amazon. A used Apple 15" MacBook Air M3 has similar performance to the 2015 MBP, for $800. I am familiar with the operation of the MBP, and I am in my 70's. I do not need the new challenges. I do love my Liquid Retina screens! ... show more

  • Don’t bother, OS so old it’ll barely run anything
Capacity: 1TB
The operating system is so old you cannot update it at all. It will not even run Microsoft outlook app it won’t let you open the email from it or use it. It won’t let you sign into AppleCare through Safari. It’s own web browser. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Apple, trying to figure it out and their suggestion at that point was to take it to a computer repair shop. I’m not gonna pay money for that when I just got this three days ago.Definitely returning it. Do not waste your money. ... show more

  • Very satisfied with this machine
Capacity: 1TB
I didn't want to spend all the money for a new machine, so I took a chance on this one which said "like new". It's a MacBook Pro 15in Quad Core i7 2.8GHz Retina (MGXG2LL/A), 16GB RAM, 1TB Solid State Drive (Renewed). They weren't kidding. It was pretty much in "like new" condition. The screen and the keyboard are perfect and the case had a just a couple of really tiny scratches on the bottom. With a Mid 2014 machine, I don't think you could expect it to be any better. It works beautifully. I run a lot of of software, since I'm a software engineer by trade and a musician by passion. I use several audio processing programs along with Sibelius notation software. In general, I have at least 10 apps open at a time. Some of these are not light weight applications. I don't know if all these machines come from the same source? This one came from the seller "Always Less Than Apple" in Richardson, TX. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. They did a really great job, and if I don't kill it, this machine will be worth something when I decide to move up to a machine with Apple silicon. Pesuming that is the architecture at the time. With Apple, you never know. ... show more

  • Not what I thought I was ordering. 🤷🏼♀️
Capacity: 1TB
I had to return it because I apparently didn't ask the right questions or to the right people. It never stated the year of the model in the listing. I called Apple to verify that this model was a 2012 which is what I was looking for in my search. I wanted to run an old Adobe suite on it. Apple said it should be the 2012. That's what made me decide on ordering this one. But as it turns out, it was converted into a 2015 with Monterey on it. I wanted the Mojave which runs on the 2012, and supports my old software. I've been trying to avoid the subscription. So that's why I ended up returning the MacBook Pro. Otherwise, it seemed like a really decent machine, in mint condition. So I tried to reach the seller to see about getting the older OS put on it but was unsuccessful. I dreaded returning it. ... show more

  • Great Buy
Capacity: 512GB
Not sure why they say 2020 it’s a 2016 Mac book pro the about tells you what it is when you get it. Works great excellent condition clean no issues. My only problem is with the seller put the wrong phone number on shipping label so Fed Ex was unable to let me know they were outside my gate. I was unable to get Fed Ex to change the phone number because that had to come from shipper and I was unable to contact shipper. This amount of stupid is enough to never do business with either this seller or Fed Ex ... show more

  • Sold as excelente refurbished/ not true.
Capacity: 512GB
Just to let you guys know. I haven’t been able to use the Mac book you guys replaced. Came back with same issue as the first one I bought. battery won’t charge bad. And also a bad charger. I was out of the country just came back so hadn’t had time to use or fix it. But I just swapped the battery myself. And who ever has swapped it before horrible job done. Plus so much dust and dirt inside. When I bought it I only bought it Because it said it was refurbished and in excellent condition. Which come out to not be true. Both Mac book received was no good and the wait for the replacement was ridiculous over one month and with no reply, and only received some type of answer when I contacted Amazon directly then the next day I received a message from you guys about the replacement. Which was honestly worst than the first original. I know it was a used one. But don’t but it’s in excellent condition when it wasn’t even in good condition. Need up just being a waste of money and time. To end up fixing it my self and spending more. Which for that would have been better got a new one. Ended up paying about 500 for the used MacBook plus the fixing and another new charger. When apple have a new MacBook for 850ish. This was very disappointing they just put some double tape on another bad battery and sent it back apparently. ... show more
