  • Easy buy. Excellent condition
Bought this for my brother in college. For the price, it was steal. Wasn’t expecting much since it was in “acceptable condition”. When it came it was such a pleasant surprise, barely 300 cycles on the battery (which holds itself fairly well for over 4 hours of intense use), no visible scratches, everything working perfectly, the only flaw was with the reflective coating of the screen which started to fall off, but you can only see it when light is facing directly at the screen, it’s just a minor aesthetic issue. Apple indeed proves its value with this machines, they are meant to last. Would definitely buy again if needed. ... show more

  • A classic!
This mid 2014 model is like a vintage Benz s500. It’s big, reliable, luxurious, and built to last. This might not have all the bells and whistles of a new unit, but it has longevity on its side. Mine came from TekRelplay, arrived a day early, and has 747 battery cycles already logged on a battery that still charges to 100%. It has the old keyboard with a real touch, lots of ports (including the old USBs), and the iconic glowing apple logo. It’s still fast with that turbo boost, runs on Big Sur (which is an elegant OS), and has beautiful lines to its case. I love this thing. And it was a real value. The only downside is that it has 2 Thunderbolt 2 ports which are pretty much useless since that hardware is really the Betamax of Mac ports. Nonetheless, Just buy it! ... show more

  • I don’t know anymore of it was a good purchase! Buy at your Own Risk
So far the computer is working perfectly. it had minor scratches but nothing too noticeable. I am really happy with this purchase.. Update Dec 6, 2010******* The computer is been flickering . Also it is not charging. The charging icon goes on and off . I really liked this computer I may just replace it and see what happens or I will return it if the situation gets worse Update January 2020 ***** I decided to return the computer due to the flickering from time to time. I just don't think it's ok to be doing that if i just purchased it. I am 100% sure that it will get worse and i don't want to lose the $1049 dollars that I paid. I decided to invest in a brand new computer that won't give me any issues. ... show more

  • Great Deal!
4 star review for Tek Galaxy and the refurbished MacBook Pro I ordered. I was skeptical, b/c it's refurbished. But I've had it for nearly 2 months now and I couldn't be happier. Works as advertised. No issues to date. Customer service was outstanding and responsive as I was trying to make my purchasing decision. In my opinion, this was a slam dunk deal considering that it is a 15" model, upgraded from the base model to a Core i7 processor w/ 16GB Memory and 512GB Solid State Drive, for under $1,200. And it's a mid-2015 model, one of the best Apple machines made, which includes the standard USB ports (two of them), an HDMI port, and the old style keyboard, so this thing functions like a PC for me (which is what I'm used to), hooking up to a second monitor with ease, but with the power and convenience of a Mac. For comparison, I bought my wife the brand new 13" MacBook Pro w/ about the same specs and it was over $1,500. While it looks really nice, she envies my screen size and her micro USB ports are a joke, in my opinion. Useless, unless you fork over more cash to buy the compatible peripherals. Just another Apple money grab. My only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that my unit did come with some pretty noticeable deep scratches on the top side. I understand it was refurbished, but I was told most models were in excellent condition, meaning hardly any noticeable wear. This is quite noticeable. But it doesn't effect performance and I have to acknowledge that it is over 5 years old, so I can't complain too much. My other comment is that I thought Tek Galaxy was a Texas-based start up tech company, according to their description. That was a factor in my decision-making as far as trust, since I live in Texas. But my order shipped from San Fransisco, CA and when I Googled the address, it was a residential address. So that was kind of strange and questionable as to where my machine actually came from and their advertising. But I'm not going to question their business model and what 3rd party contracts they may use. At the end of the day, as long as it continues to perform, I'll be happy. And yes, I purchased the 4-year Asurion Protection Plan. Again, cheaper than what I paid for my wife's Apple Care, and the coverage period lasts longer. No experience with Asurion. I'll post an update if I ever have to file a claim. ... show more

  • A great deal! A great savings!
The renewed item arrived in like new condition. All ports tested fine. Screen is flawless, and the outside shell only has one nic near the right side USB port. Aside from that cosmetically perfect with no aftermarket vinyl covering or fillers used, just an excellent condition renewed Mac Pro 15 inch. This is my second purchase stuff on Amazon supplier renewed McIntosh and I could not be happier. Bottom of the laptop gets warm: not hot, because it has the Nvidia CPU, so I keep it on a laptop cooler just to be safe. This is not a problem with refurbishing, just an issue with a Macintosh design when they use Nvidia graphics. My iMac pretty much does the same thing. I cannot say enough good things about Amazons renewed Macintosh computers. Again this is my second one, my first one was an iMac which I still have, and both of them look flawless. I really saved a lot of money waiting and getting them renewed by a quality Macintosh refurbisher. Thank you ... show more

  • Get yours from Kanga Supply
Outstanding service and delivery speed. I just received my MacBook today and it looks like new. I was afraid that it would come looking worn or beat up a little. I’ve seen some of the reviews here. It could happen, right? My strategy is to find the right company to buy from. It takes a little research, but that is what makes the difference. Kanga Supply. They are solid and I will continue to go back to them here at Amazon. Some notes: It did come with a faster processor than I was expecting (not complaining), the charger was original, the battery had under 300 cycles, and the whole laptop was protected very well in the box. I could not have asked for more. It’s a little gamble buying renewed and so far I am extremely happy. ... show more
