The performance that this computer offers is outstanding. Slight cosmetic on the device but overall mint condition(don’t forget you can by skins for these to protect it and make it look awesome!) . Can’t even tell if it’s used tbh. This will be my very first owned Apple Laptop and I purchased this for my music production business . I managed to download FL studio and ProTools. They uploaded much faster compared to my Intel core 7 HP desktop . For a used computer I’m pleased with it so far. Was able to update to the latest OS and it’s running like a charm . The laptop is in excellent working order. As per their FAQ's I was expecting a 2018 and got a 2015. They also sent the wrong cord.

The computer overall is in decent shape, I'd say above average for a five year old computer. I didn't go into this expecting a perfect MacBook Pro, what I wanted was something functional, especially so a MacBook that still has USB ports. I also understood that "renewed" doesn't qualify as refurbished. That said, after about a month of use, it's obvious that renewed means very little. Let's start with the battery. It had 650 cycles when I received the unit, that's now up a few counts. Battery life definitely was suffering, it would hold out well until about 30%, but from 30% to dead was about a half hour process doing light work. I'd classify light work as word processing and surfing the web. I bought this to do CAD and word/excel. Doing CAD work, battery life was pretty bad. This is the core of my work, so I decided to change the battery, that added an additional $100 the cost of this laptop and something like two hours of messing around doing the change. Now, I've done lots of laptop and especially MacBook batteries, this is my fifth or sixth MacBook. So, when I opened the laptop, you can see from the included pictures that the fans are still dusty. The interior of the MacBook is pretty dirty. It's probably been cleaned as the SSD is an aftermarket HP unit (not a problem for me), but the bottom was not removed in the "renewing" process. With all of that in mind, it seems like a good computer, delivery was fairly timely at around two weeks. It's doing it's job. So four out of five seems worth it. ... show more

Came in horrible. I couldn't even open the laptop because it was pushed down so I had to pry it open. Every time I turn the computer on, you can hear the fan in it really loudly and it's annoying. It works fine though, just those are the problems.

    • Our replacement better than the original
Our 2006 or 07 MacBookPro died and we purchased this one ... Time Machine worked flawlessly, and now using the replacement lap top is just the same as the first one. Only exception, the newer iOS would allow Steve to play his ONLY game ... Command & Conquer "Generals".
