Macs aren't cheap, but they're worth it if you can swing it. I went through several quality laptops in the decade and a half before I finally gave in and bought the Mac. I don't download unscreened e-mails, music or videos, yet I'd end up with frustrating viruses. I didn't spend a lot on those laptops but didn't buy the cheap ones either. I was reluctant to switch because when I would have a problem my husband could usually address the issue since he's good with computers. Eventually each one would be beyond help and I'd need to replace it. He said if I got a Mac he wouldn't know how to help. Since I switched I very rarely need help, and if I do I call Apple and they take care of it, no problem. It's worth it to get an extension on service for those times you need to call. It's not much for a basic plan. I've never needed more than what's been covered. The Macbook is easy to use, dependable and provides "peace of mind." If you need your computer for work you definitely want it to work, all the time. Sending and receiving documents with PCs hasn't been a problem for me since my husband won't switch. I don't, however, use it for work. I have sent docs to companies that don't have macs and there was no problem there either. If you'll need to share docs with pcs consistently you may want to do some more research, but I doubt it will be a problem. They're made to be able to communicate with pcs these days. If you need to download work software you'll need to talk to your IT group. I highly recommend my Macbook! In the long run, it's saved me money. ... show more

I do not know if I missed somewhere that this was a used item.... The packaging was very protected but very basic Not as any as f my previous Apple products have come Very protective air pouch in a plain white box then when I took ot out saw it was damaged Otherwise it works just fine and good value for the money very thin light and long battery life ... show more

Battery was extremely low lasting. The computer won’t even do updates. Took it in to apple, they said it’s not worth fixing and they are willing to recycle for it for free. Let down wasted 400 hundred. Quality sucks!! Wish I hadn’t waited so long so could return it.

it udated to the newest version of the of OS monterey,,,, !!!!! this good becauause of mine just a old imac and ist will not let him update past high serirra.. what a waste of money but he just didnt know.
