Macs aren't cheap, but they're worth it if you can swing it. I went through several quality laptops in the decade and a half before I finally gave in and bought the Mac. I don't download unscreened e-mails, music or videos, yet I'd end up with frustrating viruses. I didn't spend a lot on those laptops but didn't buy the cheap ones either. I was reluctant to switch because when I would have a problem my husband could usually address the issue since he's good with computers. Eventually each one would be beyond help and I'd need to replace it. He said if I got a Mac he wouldn't know how to help. Since I switched I very rarely need help, and if I do I call Apple and they take care of it, no problem. It's worth it to get an extension on service for those times you need to call. It's not much for a basic plan. I've never needed more than what's been covered. The Macbook is easy to use, dependable and provides "peace of mind." If you need your computer for work you definitely want it to work, all the time. Sending and receiving documents with PCs hasn't been a problem for me since my husband won't switch. I don't, however, use it for work. I have sent docs to companies that don't have macs and there was no problem there either. If you'll need to share docs with pcs consistently you may want to do some more research, but I doubt it will be a problem. They're made to be able to communicate with pcs these days. If you need to download work software you'll need to talk to your IT group. I highly recommend my Macbook! In the long run, it's saved me money. ... show more

It was better than I expected as I was skeptical spending so much money on a refurbished product but so far so good. The only issue I did have, is that the battery wouldn’t stay charged for long and it use to cut off a few times (the first couple times I used it) but it doesn’t anymore. It’s very nice. i’ve only had this Mac for two days and the charger is not working at all. I have shut down the Mac as it said on Google and cut it back on and the charger still blinking green. There’s no way that I should have to shut down my work in the middle of my work to charge up my Mac that’s crazy and this is what I consider as an inconvenience. I don’t want it so therefore I’m going to send it back. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. It took almost 2 hours to update this computer they came completely dead. I had to update everything to the current version of the iOS. That I don’t wanna deal with it anymore and why I am bringing it back is because the charger I have to work on this computer and I don’t want to charge I have to shut down in the middle of my work hope and pray the charger work. Reach out to customer service this morning and they’re closed until Monday. I am taking it back tomorrow which is Saturday. Just need my money back so I can purchase something Newer. ... show more

it udated to the newest version of the of OS monterey,,,, !!!!! this good becauause of mine just a old imac and ist will not let him update past high serirra.. what a waste of money but he just didnt know. I like the computer. Please read what is included on computer. I missed the part that Word was needed. So I have to buy it since I bought this to take classes.
