I used an exact replica of this model (just an 8GB/25GB unit) for two years for remote work. It might have crashed twice in that entire time, even with hundreds of browser tabs at a time (most apps were cloud-based). With that experience in mind, I think a 16/256 configuration M1 MacBook Air is more than sufficient for most tasks a user is going to need this for. I seriously lucked out with this machine; getting the maximum 16GB RAM for it adds a performance boost that you don't get from the stock configuration. Of course, the space isn't enough if you want to use Adobe Creative Suite or big collections of Microsoft Office 365, but I have used those apps on M1 Macs before and the computing power is more than sufficient by itself. I have an external M.2 SSD that I plan to use for external storage. I was fortunate enough to get one in pristine condition with MacOS Sequoia 15.0 installed, with 3 months of AppleCare+ (this really surprised me). Look for this when you get yours! I've already fully updated the software. External and internal condition was virtually mint condition - no screen issues at all, no scratches or dings anywhere on the body, no keyboard issues at all. I definitely did not expect this. Luck of the draw. It's perfect for what I intend for its use. For the price I got ($480!), so long as you get a good unit, it's unbeatable. Who needs a Chromebook? Really nice for good quality, does have a couple small dents, none on top just bottom and sides. Battery is health was 93% so pretty solid, did come in alternative packaging so no original box but came with original charger. It needed an update from Mac OS 13 to 15 but didn’t take long, shipping was longer than stated but that was a fedex issue and not with the seller. Just wish you could get 16gb model cheaper since 8gb is limiting and I don’t know how to solder ... show more

Giving it 4 stars! Only because of it does have minor dents and scratches and some sticky spots in the keyboard but I just ended up cleaning it up. Everything works fine, I would definitely buy from this seller again. I bought this MacBook for nursing school and I love it, definitely worth the price.
