We've only had it for less than a week so far, but so far we're very happy with it. It arrived as close to new condition as could be hoped for. It was completely discharged which had me a little worried, but I charged it and it's working beautifully. (I still need to do some analysis on the battery life, but if I don't add any updates, that means it's doing fine.) For me, it was a requirement to have 512GB SSD (or better) and 16GB RAM so that we wouldn't be going backward - I needed to make sure everything that was on my wife's old Mac would fit on the new one. This combination is kind of hard to find on the reconditioned market, but this one fits the bill at a reasonable cost... and although it is 4.5 years old, that's usually not any kind of an issue for a Mac... 99% compatibility and plenty of speed. ... show more

After our laptop crashed I decided to purchase 2 of these refurbished laptops (myself & my wife). I figured the price of 1 new laptop equals 2 of these laptops. If I can get 4 years out of these then that will be good. Just got this today and the outside is beat up really bad. Dents on two corners like it’s been dropped more than once. I know it is refurbished but this thing is NOT in ‘like new’ condition.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this, but my other computer took a crap and I was on a limited budget. I know I wanted a MacBook for its speed. The battery lasts way longer than my other computer. Even though this is refurbished, it feels like it’s new.
