I was skeptical of all the raves. A tinted lip balm is just a tinted lip balm, right? Not this one. I would say this is a hybrid of a lip gloss and sheer lipstick. I find it sticks enough to not migrate while it moisturizes. It doesn't feel heavy on the lips like a waxy lip balm. I bought 2 colors, Kaya Fig & Mauve Whip. The difference between the two is the warmth. Even though both are considered cool tones, Kaya Fig is warmer than Mauve Whip. I never expect a long lasting effect with balms. These are made to transfer onto the cups you drink from. They don't contain any non-transferable ingredients like those silicones which can leave your lips dry after continuous use. These are made to keep your lips moisturized and to color them with enough color. I will have to buy more later on. I am hoping Amazon will get the new colors!

If you are looking for juicy, hydrated, glossy lips then this is your product. You can build it up or put it on shear, both types of applications look nice. It has a nice fruity scent which I enjoy but if you are sensitive to scents the smell does dissipate relatively quickly but is something to be aware of. Just due to the nature of the product, it is not transfer-proof, but it is also not meant to be. Because this product is so glossy it does get very soft if you overheat it, this is not a product you can just leave in a car during the summer months.

The color Kaya Fig is a lovely MLBB shade for me. I love the sheer quality paired with more staying power than you'd expect from a balm. It feels slightly thicker than the apieu juicy pang balm, but not in a way that is actually dense. The other wears like slippy oil, but this is more like a gel to me. Anyway, I'm picking out my next shade now.

My review is for shade: Hippie Berry & Kaya Fig -Consistency/texture: It feels like melting gel lip balm. I see where it gets the name. It is thickish and has a good amount of grip so it doesn’t bleed. It is slightly stickier compared to regular lip balms, but comfortable. It is not tacky to the point of lips sticking together. It is shiny but not super juicy or glassy like what you see on the models. (*Update/Edit*: the lip balm looks different on my lips in the winter! It’s glossier and juicier! Strange why it changed. I added new photos). -Application: It is a little tricky to apply since it is like painting with watercolors (but in gel consistency). The more you swipe, the color continues to move so you end up with darker pigment on one side and lighter on the other. Dabbing or tapping it on might help instead of swiping motion. Whenever I press my lips together I can see the print or migration of the color. Just leave your lips alone and the color will settle down evenly. -Color/Pigmentation: *Hippie Berry*: It is a redder tone when freshly applied. When it settles into my lips it becomes more coral with a hint of berry. It’s probably the boldest of the pack. I don’t wear eye/face makeup these days so this lip color helps brighten my pale/dull face. *Kaya Fig*: I would say this color is a pinky brown. It’s a MLBB (my lips but better) shade. It’s a muted/nude color. They wipe off clean, no stain. They are highly pigmented balms. The color lasts longer on the lips compared to other tinted balms. -Scent/fragrance: Smells delicious like passion fruit. I saw some people say it smells like apricot. It also smells like grape to me but not the generic grape. It’s a different type. Maybe muscat. I find the scent power subtle. No bitterness seeped into my tongue. I am going through a phase of shiny/glossy lip balms. I have never been a fan of lip gloss because the pigmentation fades quickly on me and I hate applying with a wand. I have shaky, clumsy hands. I have better control with a crayon/stick or bullet. I also just prefer solid format over liquid. I find them easier to maintain and touch-up throughout the day. There is no menthol or tingling/cold/burning sensation on the lips with this formula. It layers well on top of clear lip balms that I use as a base for extra moisture. The formula doesn’t break down or become less pigmented when I do that unlike other tinted/colored lip balms. The current price on these lip balms are affordable and they are good quality. *In my photos, I compare my lips to the models so you have a better idea of the color, opacity, and pigmentation. I did not use lip liner, concealer, or lip primer. I applied directly onto my bare lips. I do not have lip fillers/injections either. I did not modify/filter the photos. I took my photos in front of a window without a flash. Photos will differ due to sunny day or cloudy. Also, my lips for some reason is glossier during winter.”

I wanted a tinted lip balm for days that I dont wear a lot of makeup at work, and I was shocked at how pretty this shade turned out to be! Locks in moisture (even in the dry winter) and the color stays looking fresh for hours.

The color is perfect, a cool toned berry color and I don’t have to apply much to get pigment. Just one or two swipes, keep in mind that my lips are two toned. Only one downside is that you should probably exfoliate your lips before wearing

It’s a tinted lip balm. And not a super fantastic one. Frankly, it’s only ok. The formula is kinda meh. The tint is neither super opaque, nor super sheer. And honestly, you can get the same performance from a five dollar drugstore tinted lip balm. It hydrates and protects the lips, but only just. And feels kinda heavy when you have it on. The color also goes on a little patchy, meaning that you have to put a lot on to get a more even color distribution. If you like tinted lip balm then I guess it might be worth a try, but I think that you could find better elsewhere.

I looove this lippy! So glossy and pigmented! I got this product thinking it’d be similar to the revlon glass shine (discontinued), but I got so much more! It smells like a sexy perfume, but not too strong just slightly! I would definitely recommend this, and I’m so getting more colors! Also, it leaves a stain and can survive Texas Roadhouse. xoxo
