These "renewed" iPods appear to be very much a hit-of-miss product. The first one I ordered would not hold a charge overnight - apparently they don't bother to test the batteries. This one is fine. So buyer beware and prepare for possible disappointment and inconvenience.

As the product was discontinued, I wanted to get another iPod for my music that had 256 gb of space. It was reconditioned but alas every song I had added to the product was skipping and even I restarted and added the music again, no change. Sadly I returned it and at least the seller refunded it. Ordered one to replace a smaller earlier generation one that is still working fine. After restoring all of my music files I got a message “Unable to sinc” although it actually did it on the second try. When I connected it to my car it would play a different song rather than the one I selected. After a couple of songs it just froze. I turned it off and on and it did it again.
