HONEST REVIEW!! i just bought this and it finally came in and ive had no troubles so far! no scratches, or any damage. kinda bummed i bought the normal 16 instead of the plus or pro but that was my fault for not realizing lol. i love the color, a lot faster than my 14plus i’ve had for 5 years, turns on quickly too when you restart it. definitely would recommend buying!

I bought a refurbished iPhone 16 from Ecobuyphone, (my 3rd or 4th refurbished but with different sellers previously) to use overseas. This was my 3rd or 4th refurbished phone over the years (but with different sellers previously) and never once had an issue. This time the eSIM would barely connect. It was intermittent (mostly no connection) for the first few hours then stopped connecting altogether. Sending it back for return would cost $206 since I'm overseas and it has a rechargeable battery which increased shipping price so I took it to a repair store. They replaced a part with a certified part and it held signal for almost 24 hours before dropping intermittently again. They said "every part of the cpu is refurbished with cheap parts so this will continue to happen" and "due to the number of cheap refurbishment parts" repair would cost more than buying a new one (the repair store does not sell phones, so it was not trying to up sell me). Not only am I out $560 usd for this useless brick, I will now be out the price of a new phone. When I first reached out to Ecobuyphone, they were easy to work with and communicative. A return would have been easy IF I actually had the phone in the US during the return window. but I don't. I needed this for working abroad and now I have learned an incredibly expensive lesson. Buy a certified phone with certified parts from a certified store. Otherwise, you never can guarantee where corners are cut and pennies saved for business profit, at the expense of the customer. Buy a phone you don't have to worry about being filled with cheap, junk parts. (update Oct. 17th) I provided the report and photos showing water damage, non replaced damaged items etc. that should have been replaced with a "refurbished phone" phone before resale, the receipt for the diagnostic and full report etc. per request. Even with photo proof of clear old damage Seller said they cannot the report was it was not from an Apple Service Provider. THEY themselves do not qualify as an Apple Service Provider as they are "refurbishing" phones with NON certified Apple parts. Hypocritical. I hope this review and ALL 1 star reviews receive enough "likes" that it makes Amazon take note of this seller and remove them from their platform as a seller.

Great condition. Battery health was over 96 when I got it. And even after a year this iPhone has battery health of 95. Trick is to set the max battery level to 95%. So don’t charge it to 100% of you want the battery to last a long long time. Lithium battery’s don’t like to charge to 100%

I will be real and list the pros and cons about this iphone. Pros: It's a legit, unlocked iPhone. It works perfectly fine and takes awesome photos! I haven't had it recently scratch or cracked despite dropping it once or twice. It isn't slow (like my last iPhone), battery life is amazing, and charges very quickly as well. The price isn't as bad compared to the Apple Store. It looks fine to the eye. It works fine with my MacBook as well. It came with a charger. Cons: It came a little bit scratched. The bottom had a little dent or scratch to it. Nothing too noticeable. Personally, it wasn't a problem for me but it can be for others so I thought I should mention. One notable issue for me though is the screen turning hot pink. I'm not sure what exactly what it is but on rare occasions, if my phone is left on and slowly dims the screen (you know when it's about to turn off), the screen suddenly has a hot pink filter over it and a bold hot pink border around the screen. It's not causing me any issues at the moment BUT I fear it might in the future and I may have to pay for it to be repaired.

Not truly unlocked and cleared!!!!! Do not trust this seller
Do not buy!!!!!! I want to share an important warning for anyone considering buying a phone from this seller. The phones being sold may still have outstanding balances owed to the carrier, and this is not being clearly disclosed upfront. As a result, buyers can end up with devices that initially work fine but are later blocked by the carrier due to non-payment. This situation leaves buyers stuck with unusable phones and no recourse, which is extremely frustrating and unfair. Transparency is critical when selling devices tied to financing agreements, and failing to disclose this information puts buyers at serious risk. I strongly recommend that potential buyers exercise caution, ask for proof that the phone is fully paid off, and verify its status with the carrier before completing any purchase. Sellers should be honest about the financial status of their devices to avoid causing harm to others. I’m extremely disappointed with this experience and want to warn others before they make the same mistake. This seller is selling phones that are not fully paid off, which puts buyers at serious risk. The way the scam works is that they sell you a device that appears to function normally at first, but because there is still an outstanding balance on the phone, it can be blocked by the carrier after a short period of time. Unfortunately, Start of highlighted quote:that is exactly what happened to me—the phone was blocked about a month after purchase and is now unusable.End of highlighted quote What’s even more frustrating is that neither the seller nor Amazon has properly addressed the issue or taken responsibility. Buying a phone should not come with the risk of it being remotely disabled due to someone else’s unpaid balance.
