Ok, I’m a galaxy gal with a S25 Ultra phone. People tell me try Apple’s iPhone, and I put it off for more than 12 years. However, I do own 2 Apple Mac Minis, and I like the computers. Well, I looked up iPhones on Amazon and other sites and came across this iPhone 16 Max Pro with 8 gig ram and 1 terabyte storage for just a little over 900 dollars. A lot of money for an iPhone that’s a year old I thought. So I took the risk and made the purchase. When I got the package in the mail I hesitated even opening the box and contemplated just returning it back without giving it a chance. Well, after opening the box and charging it up, I transferred my data over to the iPhone 16 Pro Max and it worked well and fairly easy too. I still wasn’t too impressed with the iPhone just yet, but I gave it a chance. As I began using it and saw the battery life was at 98 % I thought, WOW, nice iPhone with a pretty decent battery too. I also noticed it still has an Apple warranty until March of 2026. The phone is beautiful and works great thus far, but my niece said I should get the iPhone 17 Pro Max. So I looked it up and didn’t see why I should go into a 2k debt for an iPhone 17 pro max with a 1 terabyte storage drive. After all, my iPhone 16 Pro Max still gets another 6 years of updates on the iOS software. I have to say I still have time to return this iPhone, but, right now, this is a well made and solid purchase and I feel very comfortable with it after 2 weeks of use. I still have my android Galaxy S25 Ultra, and I’m gonna keep it too, but the seller of this iPhone certainly does ship out beautiful and quality iPhones to the buyers. No scratches or dings and a great battery life too. The item arrived with great packaging and I am impressed with this seller. Now my niece with the iPhone 17 pro max with 256 gig of storage loves her phone, she’s had it for about a month now, and yes,she paid more than me and I have a 1 terabyte storage drive on mine, and her first complaint about the iPhone 17 is, the aluminum casing gets scratched up easily forcing her to get a cover so she doesn’t have to look at the scratched up case on her new iPhone. I needed a new phone because I was fed up with my 15 that I'd gone el cheapo on. It was too small compared to the android I had switched from, and it didn't have enough storage space so it was to the point that I didn't even have space to install updates and that caused some weird things like my calendar events just disappearing. I'm not great at texting with my thumbs. My vision isn't what it used to be, I guess the pads of my thumbs aren't as full either. I struggled with texting so I tended to use the voice-to-text feature mostly. And even though they've been doing dictation software since the 90s, it's still pretty terrible. Don't get me started on the camera either. My android's camera blew the iPhone's out of the water and it was at least 3 years older. So, this 16 Pro Max phone hits on a few areas that I was looking to improve and it does it well. It's the largest screen they offer and comes with twice the storage. The voice-to-text seems to be somewhat better but still causes some frustration at times. The camera is much better but I'm still not sure if it's better than the old android. But now I have to talk about the fact that this is a "renewed" phone to begin with. I went with the "Renewed Premium" because I wanted as close to a new phone as possible but without spending all that money. I considered this the last chance I would give to Apple before I switched back to Android - I didn't want to pay a fortune to find out that I was still unsatisfied - and this seemed the best route to take. I was not disappointed. Other than not coming in an iPhone box, there wasn't the slightest clue that it was not a new phone, cosmetically. I had no issues getting it set up - I mean it was crazy easy using the tools / instructions that you can find just by going into AI mode on a Google search. I love my phone now. My old mantra was "I hate this phone" or "This phone is a piece of ..." . I had dreams of running it over with my car. I haven't had any issue with the functionality of this renewed phone either. I'm finding a lot of features that are endearing me to the brand too. I don't have to worry about storage, I have a larger screen (but I'm still not that much better at texting), and I'm dealing with the voice to text still. But as far as the product I received, I'm soooo very happy I went this route. Now for the thing that I really was disappointed about. The trade-in value of my old phone (which was in excellent condition) is about $35 less than I would have gotten through Apple - but they only sell the most current version of a Pro Max phone, so I couldn't have gotten the 16 Pro Max through them anyway as the 17 model was already out in stores. When I was working with my budget I thought that the $275 would be taken off the price of the phone but I can see now how naive it was to think that. They're not going to give you money for a phone upfront, sight unseen. So I just figured that it would work out since they would apply the credit back to the card once they'd received and checked out my trade-in. Ooooh was I mistaken! First of all, they do not treat it like a refund where they add the funds to your original method of payment. Instead, you get Amazon credit. And by credit, I mean that you can ONLY spend that money on Amazon. You cannot buy a gift card offered on Amazon for another store (for example, Best Buy), you cannot even get an Amazon gift card with it. I needed the funds to go towards my car stereo that I was planning to buy at a different store (because they install it for free as long as I purchase it from them) but I wasn't permitted to use the credit on that. I thought that maybe I could get it in a Amazon gift card, and then get my friend to buy that from me. Nope. If it weren't for the trade in process I would have been 100% happy with my purchase. It's only because this phone was exactly as described and pictured that I am happy. And ultimately, things worked out for me with the trade-in credit situation when my son was buying an eScooter and agreed to send me the money so I could purchase it from my account and apply that credit towards the purchase. So the moral of the story is that this renewed phone was a great route to go (I'm speaking to the Renewed Premium offerings), and I was very happy with the phone, both cosmetically and functionally. You just need to be fully aware of how the trade-in works (and its limitations) so you don't get frustrated in the end.

I’m very happy with the purchase!! The phone arrived in perfect conditions!! Like BRAND NEW! 99% battery health, although that wasn’t my worry, for it to be 90%+ I was happy! Just wasn’t expecting 99%! Amazing bonus! Everything works perfectly! I don’t see any scratches or anything, I wasn’t worry about that either. I can live with little scratches on the sides! I was worried about having some faults like detecting parts that weren’t authentic, or for it to be iCloud locked. I read some crazy reviews that made scared! But this was such an incredible purchase! So very happy!! I ordered the one that was sold and shipped directly by Amazon, that has some kind of quality guaranteed I think. 100% would buy again!

I usually don’t put feedback in reviews section, but I think this is important one and so I thought its important to provide a feedback so that customers can get a trustworthy product from Amazon renewed premium category, that really gives the customer the price point of value with money. I ordered my iPhone 16 pro max couple of days back and got it yesterday. I was very excited as I was getting 512GB storage with an amazon backed brand to claim that renewed premium category is like a new. Now as I received my phone, it all looks very nice and I start begin the setup as well as checked everything from the physical perspective if nothing is damaged, I didn’t notice anything major till my son noticed that of the lens on the back side camera have a small chip cut that can easily be observed in day light as well as buy touching it with finger. Anyway I proceed with complete setup, and begin testing the phone, everything looks to be fine, batter at 95% which is good. But then I majorly stuck on side camera button, which was not functional. I did some research on YouTube and google if some setting or config needs to change, and I followed all the steps but nothing works and the conclusion that some sensor or side button is damaged and not functioning properly and this is big red flag if I am spending close to 1000$ on renewed premium product and expecting it to at least work 4 to 5 years. I also want to mention that, amazon send me the lighting cable, instead of usb C cable. Anyway next morning I called customer care to report my feedback and explain all the details, my concern was not that I can’t return it or can’t get the refund. But my biggest concern was of Trust in the branding for renewed premium category of product. Because if Vendor is claiming what they are selling then it supposed to be that way. Because if I have to buy a renewed premium category product I may think twice or more before taking that decision, and I think used premium category is a big market, so seller should focus on quality and maintaining the brand and not to sell the defective product to customer and create so much frustration. But the good thing is at least Renewed premium category is claiming to return and refund upto 365 days that customer support specialist also told me to not worry and return and try order another one, because its rare that such kind of issue come, but anyway I see 11% of customers report bad experience so this matters. Anyway I am retuning this phone today with less than 14 hours of receiving, I am not sure if I will order again, because of all such a big hassle in the whole experience of waiting the product to arrive, setup everything, and test out and its all about experience how much you want to invest in that effort. I am updating my review on May 22 regarding my experience with customer service while following up on my refund. It has now been two days since my return. On May 20, I spoke with an Amazon specialist about a defective product and requested a replacement. I was advised that the best option would be to initiate a return and return at Whole Foods and that I would receive a refund within a week, after which I could place a new order. However, today, when I contacted customer support to check the status of my refund, I had a very disappointing experience. The representative was rude, yelled her voice, and informed me that the refund would take up to 30 days. So be prepare, if you get a defective product then you stuck with your money and wont be able to buy another unless you get your money back. This is one of the worst experience i had as i cant use the product that i paid for, and the money also stuck for a month, that i cant use to buy another phone She also stated that the previous information I received about a 7-day refund was incorrect. She was not willing to listen to my concerns and ended the call abruptly. I have never encountered such poor customer service from Amazon before. This experience was frustrating and does not align with Amazon’s stated commitment to being customer-obsessed.

I ordered the 16 Pro Max Renewed Premium black titanium. It came with a type C charger and the phone in the box. I am so shocked because the aesthetic of the phone was basically new. There were no scratches and no dents. The phone has a 96% battery capacity which I found to be tremendously great. I have been using this phone for almost a week now, and I must say it is definitely a great buy. It doesn’t lag, and the camera is amazing. The volume on this phone is very superb. I would definitely recommend anyone to get this!

In general; great product. Works as should for the software itself. I am displeased with the quality of the body I received. I payed for no scratches on screen and body, and I received a phone with many little scratches on the screen, one large scratch on the screen (see photo), and a crack near the charging port. (See photos) Reason I am still giving this a 4 star is because I have had no issues so far with the actual phone itself, and the battery came with 100% health. I reached out to support and they only offered a $15 refund for the problems with the body. Be mindful if you buy something, and pay for the premium, it may not be what you want.
