I waited a full 8 days before writing a review. I ordered premium refurbished. And honestly, the phone is basically brand new. I purchased an iPhone 12 back in 2021. It has lasted me up until now actually. Front and back screen are both busted, speakers are sucky but they are probably just dirty. I put a tempered glass protector on it and gave it to my 6 year old to play Minecraft on. My point in saying that is the iPhone 12 has served me so well that I purchased pretty much the same phone. Just purple. I see no point in buying the newest number iPhone. I needed to replace my busted on after 4 years of owning it and was confused enough to not stray far at all from the trusty 12. I would recommend getting this. If you are like me and frugal, want your moneys worth etc, just get the premium version that way you know for sure it’ll be in very good shape! I was too worried I’d get scammed buying from FB marketplace and too cheap to buy brand new. And I’m glad I went with this option! Oh and I see many people complain about the battery life but this one’s battery max capacity is at 93%. Whereas my old iPhone 12 that I bought 4 years ago brand new was at 80%. Full charge lasts me pretty much all day! Speakers are VERY loud that I can’t watch any videos at max volume, and the screen brightness is perfect! Also it’s purple. And as Bella says in Twilight, “Purples cool.” I’d post photos and videos but I’m writing this review from the phone. Not a single scratch, dent, or crack on this!

We’ve only had this for about a month, but so far so good! The battery still had high capacity (99%) and the phone looked as good as new. It is unlocked and was easy to add to our wireless plan. It was a good value for the money!

[My review contains 6 photos] [My review rating actually is 4.5 stars.] My interest in purchasing an Amazon Renewed iPhone 12 (2020) arose from favorable past experiences with renewed (used) purchases, and a more affordable opportunity to upgrade a first gen iPhone SE (2016). My order was placed on March 31, 2023, and it arrived on May 4, 2023. The unboxing experience was excellent. An unadorned white cardboard box labeled "Amazon Renewed" on the top and some device info on the back. Inside, side-by-side, two recessed trays, one for the iPhone (covered by a clear plastic film) and the second for a USB 5V power adapter and 3' Lightning cable. A "OPEN ME FIRST" sleeve with several cards inside: HI THERE, WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED, QUICK START GUIDE, SIM REMOVAL TOOL, and INSPECTION TEST CERTIFICATE. Cosmetically the phone looked brand new. No noticeable blemishes (just a tiny scratch near the Lightning connection). So, after powering on and setting up the iPhone 12, I checked a few things. WiFi and Bluetooth were okay. Face ID okay. The battery was at 81% charge, with a Max Capacity (Battery Health) of 89%. iOS was at version 16.3.1, which I upgraded to 16.4.1, then 16.4.1(a). The back of the box noted "BH 91%" and the Inspection Certificate noted that "Your Device" – A2172 BH91 – was "Tested in New Jersey" on 03/24/2023" and "Battery Health 90%+ confirmed." So, in the time (~6 weeks) between inspection and arrival, this iPhone lost 2% of max battery capacity. Is this typical (as in other reviews)? Is this a big deal? Well, in my case 89% BH probably is good enough. The renewed iPhone 12 is not my primary smartphone. And the fully charged battery lasts longer than my old iPhone SE's. And the 12 has the latest iOS and other more recent hardware and software features (like MagSafe, Precision Finding). The Amazon Renewed Guarantee includes replacement or refund within 1 year of replacement. That's a plus.

The product was as expected and I enjoyed it for the time being. Although as devices get older they get slower especially 64GB for an iPhone now isn’t enough as the software takes 10GB itself so I return the product as I had a year to return (I return in 5 months). I was denied my refund that the iPhone was damaged, but I always keep my evidence (I have video/photo evidence of me dropping it off) especially when I dropped it off at the Whole Foods, which was approved Amazon drop off location. DON’T TRUST MERCHANT. Try to claim i damage product or wasn’t in same condition but I always keep my RECEIPTS!!! *uploaded photos of the phone that is in perfect condition, with screenshot it was at approved Amazon location at Whole Foods with IMEI proof*

This renewed phone is excellent! It arrived right on time, and when I unboxed it, I noticed only minimal scratches on the chassis and a slight scuff on the bottom right—nothing major, especially since I use a case. The screen is in near-perfect condition with little to no visible scratches and no cracks. Plus, it's the original screen. The battery came at 79%, which isn’t ideal, but it easily lasts me a full day or more, so I have no complaints. If you're unsure about the color, I highly recommend the blue—it looks fantastic! The cameras are also impressive, especially in low light. The package included a working power cord, though the power brick didn’t function, but that’s not a big deal since I have extras. Overall, this refurbished phone is a great buy, and I’d definitely recommend it!

I needed a phone to replace my iphone 7. The red one was a little cheaper than the other colors, and nobody sees it once it's in the protective case anyway. It arrived a day early, in a white amazon box that included a thick C-to-lightning cord. The phone had a protective film over the face, and both the screen and the case appear pristine without any scuff marks or scratches. My concern over a refurbished phone had been battery life, but the phone indicates 100% battery health. It appears to be an unused phone, just missing the branded box. I was able to add it to my visible account with no difficulty, and it functions perfectly. The price was right, and I could not be happier.
