  • Great, very unique feeling controller
Style: Controller Color: Black
Controller feels a bit larger than what I am used to (Razer Wolverine Tourny edition). The thumb sticks on the Thrustmaster sit quite a bit higher than normal. Buttons feel firm, and bounce back well. The trigger stoppers do not make a huge difference. Triggers still have to go down quite a ways than other controllers i've used. LB and RB buttons feel crisp. Love the ability to customize the controller layout, or throw on some difference color combos. Cons: Controller is loud, meaning all buttons make annoying noises according to my wife. I usually have headphones on so it doesn't bother me. Controller also gets slippery when my hands begin to sweat. No rubber or friction to increase grip. Menu and Start buttons are so high up on the controller, I'm often bumping the left thumb stick to hit menu button. Causes problems in few games. Overall, i'm very glad this is my main controller now. Although it feels different than most controllers, transitioning to this was smooth. Rocket League rank remained the same. Halo Infinite's rank I am sitting two divisions higher than before, which I think is because of higher thumbsticks and aiming just feels more "pure". ... show more

  • New way to race
Style: Controller Color: White
I found a setup that is working for me in the provided picture. You can create two profiles and customize each with the software. You control volume and mute via the controller when using a wired headset. Wireless headsets work too, but volume and mute are controlled via the headset, not the controller. I’m getting used to the wheel. Give it a chance. It’s fun. Update: i have improved my racing in forza motorsport 7 using that little wheel. I feel i have more control using the wheel. try it and give it a couple of days before you make a decision. hope this helps . Update 2/4/24. The controller has become unpredictable. I pretty much only play Forza Motorsport. When you look back, the view constantly shakes. Out of nowhere, the wheel controller veers hard right. Sad because it was very fun at first. Back to my Microsoft controller. Update 07/15/24 ten months after buying this controller I had to replace on stick and the wheel modules. Today, five months later, I had to replace the wheel module again. When it works it’s great. No clue is modules have a warranty. Only lasting 5 months sucks!! ... show more

  • Simply not worth it
Style: Controller Color: Black
I bought 2 of these but not for the reason you may think. They were purchased because it is impossible to actually buy any replacement original parts. The company is based in France and Canada and their tech support is only available a few days out of the week from 3-7 pm. That's correct only those few hours. Spoke to a very nice person who stated they DO NOT STOCK ANY ITEMS IN THE USA, Everything is shipped from France. Sold in Euros and only can be paid via paypal via the tech phone support. The controller fits really well in the hand and is solid, except the buttons wear out quickly as do the sticks. Once that happens you are stuck like I was. So I bought another one to use as parts. The USB cable is nice but will also wear out and if you accidentally connect it upside down you may damage it and it will never go in. Yes happened to me and I did not use much force. RLCS former Pro Lethamyr recommended this controller so on that I made the leap. Their website is anemic and it seems they were not ready for the market place in reality. Tech was apologetic but kept making excuses as to why it was a such. Bottom line is save your money and just by a controller for half the price. You wont regret it The product has great potential but it seems they built these parts in what is called, planned obsolescence. Sticks drift and act on their own, double jumps, jello like effect in addition to a rapidly changing POV stutter. This could have been so much better. Buyer beware. ... show more

  • Very Good Controller with Small Disappointments but Great Longevity
Style: Controller Color: Black
I've used everything from the cheap controllers to MS standard controllers, the original Elite, and the Razer Wildcat. This has been the best of the bunch. The single biggest issue I have with all of the controllers I've used is drift. Eventually they've all suffered from that issue. When its an expensive device such as the Elite, its incredibly annoying. The fact that with the ESWAP I can just change out the stick for another alone puts this on the top of the heap. That being said, the buttons are highly responsive, and more clicky than mushy. The short trigger pull switches work flawlessly with every game. I've left them on when not intending to, and generally didn't notice unless I was playing a driving game and the pedals seemed short. The higher height sticks also work great for greater accuracy in shooters. The extra buttons on the bottom work well enough. Paddles might have been better as the current placement does allow for accidentally hitting the buttons. After using this for several months on a daily basis, I'm still on the first set of analog sticks with no loosening or drift at all. Only have two small complaints. 1. The USB cord it comes with could be longer. I sit across the room from the TV, so 10-12 feet would be preferable. This one just makes the distance. Since it has a molded holder, its not simply a matter of swapping it out for another USB cable as any other cable will cause more strain on the connector. 2. The 4 button set should be swappable as well. While the buttons still function just fine, the letters have about worn off. Not a huge deal, but seeing the wear made me realize that if a button goes out, the game pad is shot as that's the one piece you can't swap. If the next gen includes a swappable button pad, and this one continues to hold up, I'll stick with Thrustmaster ESWAP for a good long while. UPDATE: I've raised this review to 5 stars. I've now been using this remote for over two years. While I bought this with extra sticks as I assumed the originals would have issues after 6 months to a year, I am yet to have to change out any parts due to drift or failure. Frankly, I can't remember the last time I had a controller last for over two years. May have been the original Xbox Duke, which was built like a tank. This has now lasted 4 times longer than the Xbox Elite controller I had. And I game a lot. Just about every day for several hours. Very pleased with the longevity of this controller. My couple of nitpicks still stand, but considering how well this has held up over two years, they really are nits. ... show more
