Upgraded to this from and Intel i5 MacBook Pro. This unit is fast, has great battery life and is a perfect traveling unit. Screen size is ideal for watching videos or streaming. Compared to my macbook pro (and the current models), this is a nice unit that should keep well beyond normal upgrade lifecyle, given its features and flexibility. Note: I am not a power user. Would highly recommend if you're in this price range.

Got my boys these for back to school as we were burning through Chrome Books and I was tired of them constantly breaking. Any cool feature on an HP or otherwise would stop working in 6 months. By the time we were about to order our THIRD Chromebook in as many years, I realized I just needed to invest in something that would last. Got these MacBook Airs for a great price. My boys LOVE the larger 15" screens. I mean - I don't want to work on a tiny screen either! They love them so much and are so careful with them as they value all their Apple products. Hopefully these will last us more than a few years. I know my MacBook is on year 4 and still works like brand new!

Bought this to replace a 17 plus year old ThinkPad. Still had some life left, but I refused to update Windows 7. Had wanted a MacBook Pro but couldn’t justify the price. I’m an accountant and don’t need that much. This was on sale just over $1K. Hard to pass up. I was worried about quality for that price vs Pro. Those worries were for naught. This is a fine machine. Solid and fast. Looks much better in person. Really like it and the Midnight color.

What can I say, I've been a Mac person for years. What I like best about Macs over PCs is how long they stay updated and useful as well as their virus resistance. If you've ever felt squeamish about switching from a PC to a Mad just consider this: if you have an iPhone and know how to use it, you can use a Mac. Another reason I stay with them. My iPhone, laptop, tablet and watch sync perfectly and keep me in constant contact with all my information.
