I have had this Mac for just over a year, and the screen went bad on the bottom of the screen. Conveniently it is out of warranty now, and I am having to pay $700 to replace the screen. Not super happy with the outcome of this purchase, I will be looking elsewhere in the future. Be aware, there is no way of knowing why something is refurbished, so I'm not sure if the screen was replaced with an inferior 3rd party part or if it was part of the original issues with this Mac. But I'm on the hook now to fix something that should have lasted longer, in my opinion. ... show more

The computer is absolutely stunning. The cord is like a cloth protection so it will stand bending and wrapping it up to store pretty well. The case it came in through Fedex was impressively designed to pad the computer on both sides with a thick not soft padding for extra durability. The accessories came in their own little compartment. I love the fingerprint on this thing. I bought the 1 TB and purposely bought this model from all Mac pros because of the stats of the power. You will need to pay $$$ extra for this running power if you go with newer Mac pros because they just don't built it the same with out spending like an extra brand for the running power in their newer computers. I spent hours on YouTube understanding this. I am going to use this for edging photography, music, videography, school and programs like adobe acrobat and more. Also to watch streaming Netflix etc. The weight of the entire Fedex package was 1lb this things is light and sleek. LOVE IT. ... show more

The laptop came in excellent condition, with no scratches, the battery had 35 cycles, 95% health. The charger and cable were not original and are generic brandless products, so I'm not sure about their quality.

I'd never purchased a second-hand computer through Amazon before, but after buying this in 2024 (writing the review a year later), I’m happy I did. I had been debating between a brand-new computer and this refurbished 2023 Pro M2 Max, and I’m so glad I saved a thousand dollars by opting for ‘last year’s model.’ The computer arrived looking basically brand new—original box and all—and shipped super fast. The M2 Max chip is an absolute game-changer. It makes this computer blazingly fast—ridiculously fast, actually. Zero complaints so far. Really, you don't need 'this year's model' unless you do full time video work with special effects, probably. I can even run Adobe Premiere Pro on it—one of the most memory-hungry programs out there—and I’m able to render short timelapses (up to six minutes) insanely fast. Each minute of video only takes about a minute of rendering time, which is a massive improvement over my old MacBook Air (which, to be honest, couldn’t even handle Premiere Pro at all). I can practically feel Adobe Premiere bowing to the raw power of this machine. I did buy a protective case and a keyboard cover right away to try to prolong the life of this computer and keep it from getting banged up. The only downside is that it can get a little warm when you really push this computer. I specifically picked a hardshell case with little feet to prop it up and allow for better airflow - definitely helps a lot. ... show more
