I purchased this cute little scratcher for my cats a little while ago, and I have to say for the price this was probably one of the best purchases I've made for them. With four cats it's hard to find toys or furniture that all of them will enjoy, but surprisingly this scratcher has become a fan favorite from the moment I put it together. In fact, as I am writing this review two of my cats are playing with it! First of all, the assembly process is incredibly easy and straightforward. The scratcher comes in a large box along with an instruction booklet and all necessary hardware. I had my scratcher set up within literally a few minutes, including installing all the little toys that come with the scratcher itself. The top part of the scratcher with the leaves did come slightly squished, but this was no problem at all as you can very easily fluff up the leaves again. I have to say, once the tree is fully assembled, it's incredibly adorable. It's definitely prettier than the pictures. I have mine set up in my kitchenette area, and it really ties our "vacation theme" together. As a cat owner who's tired of ugly cat furniture, this scratcher being as cute as it is was a really huge plus! What really makes this scratcher special for my cats seems to be all the little toys that comes attached to it. It has two fluffy balls that dangle from strings on the top of the scratcher, two wooden balls that roll in a track around the base, and another fluffy ball that's attached to a spring. It feels like my cats are constantly playing with this scratcher because there's just so much to do with it. I found out that my cats prefer only one ball to be in the track, but even so it's pretty great that it came with two just in case we somehow lose the first ball. The only thing I can see being an issue with this scratcher is that it's pretty light, and if you have large cats like me they can definitely move it around while playing with it, but it seems pretty resistant to tipping over thanks to the large, sturdy base. Overall I would say this scratcher was a great purchase for my cats, and would highly recommend it to any cat owner who's on the hunt for a cheap little scratcher that also looks really adorable!

I needed to order a scratching post for a male kitten who has a penchant for scratching, though mostly my jeans. This one looked like it fit the bill, plus it was available early the next day and it didn't look ugly in the house. So we took a chance with it. For readers, your mileage may vary, but I'll share what worked and what my cat liked about it. Assembly was less than 15 minutes, and the instructions were detailed enough and mostly clear, though some extra small screws threw me for a moment but I was thankful if I needed them. Set it for the cat and showed him it was a scratching post my scratching it. He took to it immediately. His interest was almost solely the twine surface for scratching, and his attention span is pretty limited as a kitten. He didn't care much for the fur balls that hang from the palm fronds, and he seemed disinterested in the balls that roll around the base. The spring-load toy that screws into the base held his interest for a minute once he found out that it spring back and forth, so that was a wash. We'll see over time if he takes to those at all. Construction is solid and the design is such that it won't fall apart or topple easily if you attach the felt feet to the base. I feared this would last a few days, but it seems more than sturdy enough for a kitten on up to a medium cat. Pricing is reasonable. Obviously, my cat has no constant use for it other than to scratch on it, so it does the job at a reasonable price point. If your cat isn't a paw slapper you can leave the other toys off. Very worthwhile buy.

This is a very good scratching post! It looks stylist and fun. My cats use it daily. It’s lightweight but it’s not been an issue even though I have two giant cat breeds. It is stable enough even when my Maine coon uses it (quite aggressively!). It was easy to put together and look perfect! I have a lot of plants so it almost blends in!

Many of the cat scratch posts available are for kittens and small cats, this one has a decent size base although if the larger cat is not standing on that base while he reaches up to scratch, it will topple over. The bottom section has a channel the houses rolling balls which is a nice addition. Our 3 felines love that! The MDF board is pretty sturdy (I'd give all of the edges a light sanding as they are sharp). Goes together well and looks nice. I'd recommend it, I may attach it to a larger 3/4" piece of plywood cut into a square shape and carpet for additional stability.

This is a simply and well designed, built addition to any cat’s life. It is the right size for most cats allowing them to stand and scratch while stretching because of its 3.5 foot height. Additionally, it is light weight and easy to move around to clean and allows easy movement for varied cat enrichment activities. I love that there is even wood balls at the base to provide additional variety to the cat’s daily life. This is definitely worth the money and time to assemble.

My cat has never loved anything more! She immediately played with it, even as I was still putting it together. She loves to hit the balls on the bottom. & she climbs the tree like a monkey! It is very stable & doesn't move when she is climbing on it. She is a 7 month old kitten now and the height is perfect so I think full grown cats might need something a little taller but we will see. 10/10 purchase!

Picked this one because I didn't want a hideous cat tree but also wanted something tall. I purchased 2 and joined them to make a taller tree. Super easy to assemble, very sturdy even after adding extra pieces. With the added pieces its about 5'2" tall, without the extra palm top. My little kitten is scared to climb it right now but she has her eye on those coconuts up top. . . She loves the balls at the bottom, she helped me assemble. Now crossing my fingers that she chooses the tree and not my sofa.
