One of the advantages of this level is that it uses green light instead of red, which makes it much more suitable for use outdoors. Even so, the line at full brightness is hard to see from about 25' away on a cloudy day. For outdoor use, I'd recommend a laser target, which this can work with since it has a pulse mode. The manual is a bit confusing (and hard to read because of the tiny print). It took me a while to realize that I was accidentally putting it in pulse mode (it also pulses when it is in auto-level mode and is more than 4º off level so that it cannot self-level). The on/off button does not seem to work reliably, so I use the lock/unlock button and that seems to turn it off (and lock the self-leveling mechanism to prevent it from being damaged). Very handy for setting a fence line to checking plumb or level lines around the house. The included magnetic mount is also super useful if your drywall corners have been finished with metal corners - you can stick this anywhere on a wall corner and shoot it across the room. Super handy. Battery life seems very good so far - I used it for about 4 hours the other day and the battery still reads full. I like the fact that it uses USB-C for the charging cable. The zippered case is nice and has some padding so you can throw this into your tool bag and not worry about it being damaged. I'm knocking off one star because of the non-intuitive operation of the power button and the tiny instruction manual that isn't readable without a magnifying glass.

This is a fairly small two line automatic level. It is almost small enough to fit in a pocket. It has a rechargeable battery built inside, that charges from a USB-C. It comes in a soft zippered case with a green target, a charging cable and an angle bracket to hang from a nail or with magnets on iron. On my freezer the bracket held it quite stable. It is accurate and sensitive enough that when I mounted it on my freezer I could see a quiver from my footsteps on the wood floor, ten feet away. There are two levels of light output. When I tried to put it in pulse mode all I did was change the light intensity. This one is a good basic level, not a lot of whistles and bells, but what I really want in a level is just that, a level or a plumb line.

As a graduate degreed engineer I appreciate well designed tools and appropriate use of technology, and as the owner of a handyman service I use laser levels pretty frequently. I have a much more upscale laser level, but wanted a smaller, quick & easy unit to keep in my vehicle. This is a basic laser level, but does 99% of what a DIY'er is likely to ask of a laser level. The build quality and technology for the Amazon price ($37.50 at the time of this review, including a 50% off coupon) is simply remarkable. In a quick test it appeared to be accurate to within 1/16'th inch of level over about a 25' run. Once you get one of these "self-leveling laser levels" you'll find all kinds of uses for it. I know I did. A very strong 5 stars from this reviewer for an unbeatable price/performance ratio.

My older laser level was difficult to use and hard to see. This little cube is just the opposite. It is as simple as set the device on something stable and slide the switch to unlock the pendulum, align to your point of reference, when the beam becomes stable, you have a horizontal and vertical line. It is very bright, I haven't tested it in day light though. There is the option to manually set a line as well, just flip on the other switch and orient lines where you want them. It comes with a tiny manual with tiny print that talks a lot about the battery as though it is replaceable but one of the last paragraphs informs that the battery is not replaceable. Other than that, this is a really good tool.

This is a very nice rechargable laser level. It comes with a case to protect the level and keep all it's parts together. The instructions adequately explain the basic functions and logically pointed inquiries on Google can answer the rest. The laser itself is easy to see and will be very helpful for me as an electrician to ensure that all my outlet boxes, for example, are at the same elevation. There are many more expensive laser levels, but this one appears well constructed, and it performs the same job without the extra expense. I would recommend this tool.

I got this laser level to use on my saw mill. Unfortunately it is not strong enough to emit a green line outside that I can work with. Excellent for indoors use as line is strong inside. I would recommend this laser level for indoors work.

pretty excited to use this. has an auto leveling feature. it will flash at you if it is not level and then as you aproach level the little gyroscope kicks in and it will level for you. or you can turn off the auto leveling feature. will work with a tripod or nailed on the wall.

I am completely redecorating my room and making it into a Pilates studio with my little admin desk and BOY let me tell you how sick of the level with the water and the bubble! I try to install self sticking wallpaper in a particular design and the level is totally worthless haha. This is amaaaazing and it’s so stinkin cute! Imagine the look on my dads face when he showed up at my house to help me and brought his dinosaur-age level. I will absolutely put up a fight for this.
