  • High-Quality Rangefinder
Though more expensive than other rangefinders I've used, this is also a higher-quality unit made with a metal case (not plastic) and sleek styling. It also has several more features that others do not have. First, this device comes packaged well and in a nice case with a magnetic closure. The case has a clip on the back so it is easy to clip to your belt - versus others with a loop that require you to partially remove your belt to slip it on. There is also a focus lever for the eyepiece which allows for much clearer resolutions at different distances. This device has many features which do take longer to learn than other units, but are well worth having once you know how to use them. But even starting off, the rangefinder by default accurately measures absolute distances. But the features allow for adjustments based on slope plus a flagpole lock-in mode (which assures measurement to the narrow flag stick and not the trees behind.) The device is charged via a USB cable and the battery life is excellent, lasting for several rounds. This is one of the nicest and most fully-featured rangefinders I've used. ... show more

  • feature packed laser rangefinder
This is my second laser rangefinder that I use for golf. This one has a longer distance specification (1100 vs 700 yards). And it is slightly smaller. However, it's a little heavier since it has a metal exterior versus plastic. It is definitely more stylistic and elegant looking. It's also pretty expensive comparatively, twice the cost of the plastic rangefinders. It does perform quite well, though there are no golf holes that go beyond 600 yards. At least on the golf courses I play on. So, this is extreme overkill for golfing. Maybe if you're hunting with a long rifle, but hitting a target at 1000 yards is mad crazy sniper shots. Besides recording the distance (release the measurement button and it'll vibrate), it also as a slope compensator/calculator that provides the upslope/downslope angle (+/-) as well as the calculated flat and level distance. An upslope will require a longer club and downslope will need a shorter club. The only available settings are switching between meters and yards and vibration on or off. Releasing the measurement button will result in a vibration indicating a distance has been recorded. The display shows the power charge level, which is a nice feature. The eyepiece can be easily focused by adjusting the level on top, which is much better than having the turn the eyepiece on the cheaper rangefinder. Since it is smaller, it's easier to grip and operate one-handed, though for the farther distances I needed to use both hands to stabilize the image and keep the target centered on the reticle. The biggest negatives are its weak magnet and the carrying case. The magnet is just barely able to hold up its weight; I would not trust attaching it to the golf cart frame and expect it to hold while bumping around on the course. The case is designed to be very minimal and form fitting to wear as a holster. It uses a metal clip as opposed to a belt loop, so it may accidentally slip off while golfing since there's a lot of motion in the swing and walking/running around (like rummaging around the woods, bunkers, and water hazards looking for the ball). This case will provide very little in the way of protection - there's no padding or air gapping and the material is very thin, so a drop means the impact will be fully felt by the (very expensive) rangefinder. And the lid/cover is held down with another weak magnet. Convenient to open and close, but terrible to keep it from popping open and the rangefinder from falling out. A lanyard is included but who wants this strapped around their wrist while golfing? Design features like this kind of tells me that it was designed for other purposes in mind, with golf being a secondary consideration. Between this and the cheaper plastic model I have, I would more likely use that one over this one for golf. Yes, it's definitely smaller and fancy, but it's not rugged or sporty. The focusing dial is superior and the specified range is almost 60% farther. So if you have need for an elegant rangefinder with such a long distance and need to quickly focus, then this may be the product for you. If you only need one for golfing, then pick a golf-specific rangefinder that's half the cost. And if you do decide to get this product, then be wary of the holster which provides very little in the way of protection. It's just a convenient albeit not very secure way to carry the rangefinder. I take away the one star for that deficienty. ... show more

  • clear glass, works great
I have been wanting to try a range finder for sighting in rifle scopes and found this very useful. It’s small and lightweight which I prefer for packing in my gear. The sight glass is clear and it’s easy to use. I like the carry case it comes with. I think its a great tool to have and would recommend it. ... show more

  • Nice quality and efficient with good features
Overall, this is a small but powerful rangefinder. Even though the rangefinder can be used for shooting/hunting, it is ideal for golf because of specific features like flag lock. The 1100yd range is a definite plus for golf or hunting. The 6x magnification is good but at full range, you're not going to able to focus on small targets. The rangefinder can be swapped from yards to meters. Slope compensation is also an included feature. This is great for hunting or golfing for uphill/downhill shots. The rangefinder charges by USB C which is really convenient. The battery has plenty of life to last a whole day playing golf or hunting session. It has a 10 second auto shut off to help conserve battery life. It also comes with waist pouch. The rangefinder is IPX4 water resistant, so no worries if you get caught in the rain with it. Overall, this rangefinder is nice quality and efficient. ... show more

  • compact rangefinder
Both hunters and golfers should own an APEXFORGE golf rangefinder. It offers precise measurements and has an amazing 1100-yard range with a 6X magnification. Accuracy on the course or in the field is guaranteed by the real-time measurements with a tolerance of ±1 yard. The silicone eyepiece is especially useful to me because it provides extra comfort during prolonged use. The rangefinder's magnetic attachment feature makes it very convenient to always have it close at hand. One contemporary feature that reduces the need for regular battery replacements is USB-C charging. It's easy to change the focus length with one hand, and for users from other countries, it's useful to have the ability to swap between yards and meters. All things considered, this rangefinder is a great option for outdoor enthusiasts because it blends accuracy, usability, and contemporary features. ... show more
