Easy to assemble, and very sturdy. Easy to clean because the roof lifts up and the floor can be pulled out. I purchased this house for my miniature Silkie chickens. If u have large chickens it will be enough room for no more than 2 chickens. Silkies like to sleep low and bunched together so this size is perfect for 5 or 6 Silkies. During the day they roam the yard and only go inside the coop at bedtime or if it’s raining. I stained the coop with a water resistant and sun protection timber oil spray that I purchased at Lowe’s in the wood department. I also purchased the nice heavy duty plastic door that has to be purchased separately. This little cute home would also nice for a rabbit or two. Of course a dog or a cat would love it. After much confusion over labels on the pieces I have to amend my first review. I gave this company a poor rating due to slow response to my issue. However upon further investigation I discovered the error was on both sides of the equation. My only concern now would be sturdiness. I use it for mi chihuahua and he absolutely loves it. The house came with the instructions which were very simple so it was very easy to assemble( mostly if you own an electronic drill) the package does comes with a screwdriver. It amazingly water resistant. I specifically bought this house because I wanted to be able to keep my puppy’s food bowl high off the ground since the there are a lot of Ants around the apartment. So the slightly tilted roof worked perfectly for what I had in mind. His small bed also fits perfectly inside. ... show more

The wood for the doghouse is so thin it split when the plates to brace it were screwed. We are headed to buy plywood to support. Overpriced for the quality.

We ordered two of these for our babies and they are great. I am not sure about the build of them since my Mom was the one that put them together. She did have a cpl of problems but not sure if that was the product or the person doing it lol.

This is not made very well at all.. kind of disappointing because I was going back and forth between one I already had in the past and this one and this one was more expensive and way lower quality than the one I had. None of the holes are lined up. I had to make my own which in return caused splitting in the wood in the back. I couldn’t even get two of the screws in at all. The instructions it comes with are terrible but they wouldn’t help much anyway cause nothing is lined up how it should be. I’m not super hopeful this is going to be weather proof. Wouldn’t recommend. There’s much easier ones to put together and for cheaper on amazon. ... show more
