  • Good for the price
Size: 6'x4' Color: Brown
FOR THE PRICE this shed gets 5 stars from me. It was cheap. If it last five years, then it was well worth the price. I built a wooden frame for it with pressure treated lumber. As far as assembly, I did it 100% by myself. I started last Sunday afternoon, and worked until dark. Then I worked on it a couple evenings after work, and finally finished it today, Saturday. It was a lot of work, not gonna lie. There were about 3 holes that didn’t line up. I had to make my own holes. BE SURE to assemble all of the parts as shown in the assembly manual! I had a couple frame parts flip-flopped and was irritated, as I though there was a manufacturing defect, as the holes to the wall panels didn’t match up with the frame, but I eventually realized that it was my fault, and I had to fix my mistake. Some of the panels have a protective plastic film that needs to be removed. That is a huge time waster! I probably spent a good couple of hours peeling off film. But it was for the protection of the panels during shipping and handling, so I forgive the manufacturer for that. There was still one panel that had some scratched paint, but it’s in an area of the roof that’s not super noticeable. Also, be careful, the edges of the parts are sharp and will cut your skin. Overall, this thing was not fun to put together. It’s not perfect. But for the price, what do you really expect? I’m hoping that it makes it through the winter. Snow is very heavy on a roof, and this shed isn’t exactly super heavy duty. If it collapses, I’ll let you all know in the Spring. ... show more

  • keeps my stuff out of the way
Size: 6'x4' Color: Brown
I was running out of room in the garage and needed a spot to stash yard tools, pool gear, and all the junk that piles up. Figured getting a small shed would solve the problem without eating up the whole yard. This one seemed like it would fit just right against the fence. I wanted something lockable too so stuff would not walk away. Putting it together was not exactly fun. The directions were a little confusing and some pieces felt kinda flimsy while setting it up. Took longer than I thought, and I had to get a buddy to help hold panels in place. Once it was standing though it looked pretty solid. The brown color blends in decent with the yard so it does not scream hey look at me. Space inside is good for what I need. Rakes, shovels, and pool toys fit without cramming everything in a corner. The lockable doors give me some peace of mind even if it is not Fort Knox level security. The sloped roof is nice too because rain runs right off instead of pooling on top. It does the basic job without overdoing it. Only thing I do not love is that the metal can dent if you bump it too hard. Also on hot days the inside feels like a little oven so I would not keep anything that melts in there. Other than that it works fine and keeps my stuff out of the way. For me it is just a simple shed that does what I needed without costing a fortune. ... show more

  • A decent shed for the price but don't expect perfection.
Size: 6'x4‘w/Base Color: Brown
I needed to replace the shed in the backyard of one of my rentals so tenants would have a storage area for their tools and other assorted gardening equipment. Under $200 is fairly attractive for something that enhances the desirability of a rental property so I chose this product. The final product, when fully assembled, is acceptable. It looks pretty good, holds a decent amount of stuff, has doors that function, and it locks. The quality of the shed isn't stellar. The metal is very thin, you can bend it easily, and the prefabrication is less than perfect. 90% of the screw holes line up pretty well, although that did necessitate serious pushing and pulling. The other 10% required drilling new holes since the existing ones were off by inches. This is by no means a deal breaker and probably to be expected on such an inexpensive product. The instructions are thorough, although not explicitly clear. This can lead to some head scratching and reverse engineering when you realize you've assembled some stage incorrectly. Once complete and screwed down to a wooden base, the shed is sufficient for its purpose. I do suggest caulking the entire inside, roof and sides, to make it water tight. If you intent to keep valuables in it , and you're in an area of questionable scruples, even though it does have the ability to install a lock, it's not keeping anyone out that wants to gain entrance. Is it worth the under $200 price and other issues? Absolutely. If you need something that's going to last for a lifetime, stay away, and go spend the money on something better designed and more rugged. I feel good about the purchase, since it's just a device I'm using to make my property more attractive to renters, but I have no illusion that this is something that would keep out riff-raff or stand strong if I needed respite from the Apocalypse. Discerning buyers will understand what they need from a storage facility and if the bare minimum, or maybe a small step up from that, is what works for you, this is a smart purchase that's worth the cost. ... show more

  • Perfect shed for the monies spent
The shed for the money is a home run. We built this shed in a day. Things you should know. 1. If you want the results of a $3500 shed buy a $3500 shed. This is 10% of the cost and will take 2 people a day to build it. 2. When you get to the roof make sure the structure is squared or you holes will not line up. Do not screw the base down before doing the roof. (Ugh ask me how I know, lol) 3. I see a lot of complaints about the instructions. If you have not put together a Lego kit in your life you will have issues with the instructions. If you have done Legos and maybe moved up to IKEA furniture you should have no issues with the instructions. 4. Have a drill bit ready for any modifications you my choose to do. There is lots of opertunity for small customization. (You don't have to make modifications I choose to modify the finish pieces around the roof not to trap the snow in the north east) 5 lastly have fun if you can get a 3rd person to help the more the merrier. ... show more
