The quality is excellent and installation was easier than i originally expected. This is definitely a two man job and you should have all your tools available and a couple of ladders to make installation much faster and easier. The metal is of a nice quality and seems durable with a nice appearance. My final use for this Carport will be a chicken run. I chose this carport because it looked to be well made and priced nicely. I love the size 12X20 gives you a large overall area. What is my favorite thing about this particular metal carport?, I is the barn shaped roof. It’s so nice and looks exactly like the item pics. Each bar spreads out in 5ft spans which is perfect. I’m so ecstatic at how well everything came together. This is an important project for me and I’m so glad it is finished and turned out looking just like the one advertised.

This 12 x 20 carport is very well designed and sturdy. It is not "hard" to assemble but it's not a one man job. There are many parts and you must read the instructions carefully because some things must be assembled in a certain order. Be sure to have proper power tools handy and plenty of time. At one point, you must lift (tip) the structure to place the support legs and that takes at least 3 people. It took me and my son about 2+ days to get it all together. Even though it was a lot of work, it's a well made product, Just don't expect a quick snap together kit.

Allow plenty of time to assemble...don't get in a rush! Get some friends to help, and it will go smoothly!! Pay attention to the pictures...the directions are not great, but adequate. Overall, seems to be a good investment to park my truck under. Get some ground anchors...the ones provided will only work on concrete, and they seem to be a little suspect.

This product appears to have changed since many of these customer reviews were written. Previously, the supports had curved metal pieces to transition from roof to legs. Mine more closely resembles the current product photos. The new version uses plastic connectors to connect rafter to legs, along with braces from the leg up to the rafter, which seem to eat some of the headroom. The ground braces also feel like trip hazards, which is exacerbated by the corner bracing as well. Speaking of plastic pieces, there are many of them. The only metal pieces are the straight pieces of tubing. all connectors, couplers, and joiners are all injection molded plastic. I don't know how this bodes for durability, but I'm suspicious of its capabilities with wind loading and other problems. Assembly is lengthy and uses bolts for EVERYTHING. Because all of the couplers are plastic, they have to be bolted to the tubing, and then bolted in place. Dozens and dozens of bolts and plastic connectors that feel largely unnecessary, where some manufacturing changes would make it much more durable and with less hardware. I think a lot of these pieces are used for other sizes and models so there are a hodgepodge of parts that seem to have no function and use up a lot of hardware. The roof panels are laminated with the plastic film used to protect the paint during manufacture. This needs to come off prior to assembly so it doesn't flake off like dead skin when exposed to UV for a while, and also trap dirt and water to cause corrosion. It took me about 10 minutes to get the film off of the first panel, and there are more than 20 panels on which to do this. I'm going to see if I can sort out a better method of removal, but the frustration of the first one kinda made me give up for a while. The hardware itself is of low quality. The tolerances on the hex heads are iffy and wrenches get stuck on the regular, requiring tapping with a hammer to free them I think part of this is due to whatever they're coated with. The roof screws have HDPE or UHMW washers which have to be installed individually on every screw and don't seem like they'll do the best job in the world of sealing. I haven't finished assembling this yet, but I felt the need to write this review based on my experience so far. I would return this, but I'm more than halfway into the assembly, and the juice isn't really worth the squeeze on that. It'd require disassembly and then reboxing it in the tetris order it was in, which I don't think I'd ever succeed at. Overall I am dissatisfied with the quality and the ease of assembly of this product. Assembly isn't particularly technically challenging, it's just tedious and hampered by poor design of the parts. I would strongly advise shopping elsewhere for a carport. I imagine this one will do the job for a while, but It doesn't seem very durable and I'm not confident in its longevity.

The metal carport arrived in three well-labeled boxes, making it easy to verify that everything was delivered. The packaging looks secure, and all the boxes arrived in good condition. I haven’t had the chance to assemble it yet because I’m still preparing the installation area, but so far everything looks organized and well packed. Looking forward to getting it set up soon

The material is thick and sturdy, which gives me a great sense of security. It provides excellent sun protection, too. During the scorching summer days, it effectively blocks a large amount of sunlight, keeping the area under the awning much cooler. This has made my patio a more comfortable place to relax and entertain guests. The installation process was relatively straightforward. The instructions provided were clear, and all the necessary hardware was included. Even though it took a bit of time and effort, it was definitely worth it for the end result. One minor drawback I noticed is that the iron sheet can get quite hot to the touch when it's been exposed to the sun for a long time. However, this doesn't really affect its functionality in providing shade. Overall, I highly recommend this awning. It's a great investment for anyone looking to enhance their outdoor living space with a reliable and effective shading solution.

This thing was tedious to assemble. Lots of screws and connections. Don't let anyone tell you this carport is heavy duty because is so not heavy duty. Its a lightweight carport that you might get five years out of it, that is if you dont have a big snow. A lot if the connections are with plastic parts but once assembled it does provide a cover from the elements. After purchasing and assembling this carport, I would not buy again.

The carport is very sturdy and easy to install. I purchased a lot of concrete to make the bottom frame more sturdy and I also reinforced the carport with more nails, and when I installing it, I climbed on top of the carport frame, which it was able to withstand the weight of an adult. The carport looks great and I love the way my car is finally being protected. The weather in my state has always been very unpredictable, it doesn't snow much, but it does rain a lot and it gets super hot afterward. So, I decided to purchase a carport to protect my car. And now it seems like it’s all worth it at the end.
