  • Tandem Axle Heavy Haul Trailer
The seatpost mounted tow hitch model and the old axle mount hitch version have the same frame, and are easily modified to fit back to back. The rear gate of one can cut and drills to function as a mechanical link between both units. It is stable and does well to about 250 lbs. With a load of 400 lbs of lumber, the unit did not want to turn easily. The drawbar needs to be lengthened with an additional 10° upswing in hitch angle to perfectly match up a 700c. The unit is remarkably stable at 35 mph descending 6% gradient at 180 lbs. Of camping gear, as properly adjusted bicycle brakes can handle the weight. Average speed on the flat will be 9 or 10mph on average. With full wood sides and stakes the unit has a tare of about 80 lbs. Not for the casual trip to the market. I've put 6,000 miles on a single, and they need wood sides to keep grocery bags out of the spokes. ... show more

  • Hitch bad design
Seems to be exactly what I needed. Great cart but hitch comes off at the slightest bump with no emergency straps as all others have. This caused me more damage than 10 carts at the price I paid. Now I'm being sued for damages to another vehicle because it came off. Not to mention my losses with my computer I was hauling moving into my new house. I'm very disappointed in this product. Would like to be reimbursed for damages for faulty craftsmanship ... show more

  • great dog trailer (with a few modifications)
I turned this into a dog trailer to get my dog to work with me - and he loves it! I added some plywood paneling, cushions, lights/reflectors, a safety flag, and a strap that prevents him from jumping out (he hasn't tried yet). The plastic hitch broke quite early on, so I replaced it with the ventura zinc-coated trailer hitch, which has worked great ever since. The wheels feel a bit wobbly, but so far this hasn't created any real problems. It makes it feel like the trailer is not super high quality overall, but given the price it's a great choice for a sturdy cargo trailer that will work. ... show more

  • Useful
Got this to transport cooler, chairs to park, town square for concerts. Easy to assemble, good tires and rims, lightweight.

  • Zero Quality... do not buy
I was motivated to purchase this item by 2 factors: 1) I prefer the connection point of the cart to the seat post instead of the rear wheel & 2) 4 star rating with almost 100 reviews. I apologize for the lengthy review ahead of time but there are many things a prospective buyer (and hopefully the manufacturer) should be aware of. 1) Design - The floor of the cart is plexiglass. Maybe not a bad choice to keep weight down, but it's thing and flimsy. This adds no rigidity to the cart. It's there to stop things from falling through the bottom, period. - The wheels are too small for this cart to carry much weight at all. Smaller than the wheels that come with kid carts that are rated for less weight. - The assembly hardware, namely the nuts and bolts. They are not long enough to assembly. The neck of the connecting arm that attaches to the front removable gate has two bolts, same size. Neither bolt is long enough to go through the gate, the neck and the plastic block supplied. You can not get the nut to start to thread. The hardware is also cheap and breaks easily. I don't think they would hold up for very long once assembled. 2) Overall quality - The frame is round tube aluminum, think old tent poles that insert one inside the other. Again, for weight maybe not a bad choice but for carrying a load this wouldn't be my choice of material. Secondly, there are several "weld" points in the assembly and these were covered up with stickers. The welds were inconsistent at best, barely there at worst. - The mounting arms for the two side gates that run the length of the cart were welded on crooked. This kept the side gates from folding upright completely. Each one was leaning, think of the leaning tower. This kept the two end gates from having enough room to be inserted and locked in with the locking pins. - Wheel mounts have similar problems. The design relies on the same "principle" design as the quick disconnect bicycle tires. No problem with that choice if it's properly executed. The brackets for the tires were too far apart to allow for the axel of the tire to rest in them both at the same time. This puts all the weight on the small bar running through the wheel axel that locks the tire in place. I would no purchase this item again. Even if I gave the benefit of the doubt and said ok, it's a friday build and no one was watching the specs, that does not account for the cheap hardware, poor execution and design. I've requested a return and refund. After some inspection the product is made in China, so I'm not expecting great things. I hope they prove me wrong. ... show more
