I bought this to replace the string wrap whole house filter I had been using. This was able to filter smaller particles. It was also by the same manufacturer that produced the one I have been using for many years with success. This is an eighth of an inch too long. The other filter was able to work because it is slightly more flexible. This one would not. That extra length makes it unusable. I still am a fan of the manufacture’s products. I was a bit worried when I removed the old filter, which had a plastic fishnet wrap and an outer carbon layer, which was taller than this filter. However, when I dropped it in, everything fit fine with no leaks at all. This filter supposedly will last 6 months, whereas the others I looked at were only rated for 3 months. Good value given this had the same filtration rating as well as a lower cost. I'll probably set this up for autofill next time I need to purchase one. ... show more

I have ben using these water filter cartridges for about 7 years . They take out most sediment and the water ends up having a good taste and is clear .Will continue buying .Good filtration system. A little expensive

These are awesome because you don’t have to make 37 special trips into town for no store to have them, they are always in stock for me to get and will be here in two days with prime. Filters all the little sand and that from my well so it doesn’t end up in my washer filter or elsewhere! Definitely recommend, just make sure you know your appropriate size. ... show more

Been using these filters for years. They do a great job filtering unwanted particulates from my well water at a reasonable price. Easy to install and inspect.

    • These filters do what they are supposed to do, clean the water.
We live in a rural area with our own well. These filters do a great job of filtering out the sand. The water comes into the house crystal clear.
