I like that this set can nest when storing. Small fits in medium which fits in large. There is ample room for packing and there is a zippered internal "flap" on one side that also has a zippered net for packing smaller items like toiletries or other such things in each case. Also the other side (inside) has a strap set that clasps easily to hold whatever you pack on that side, for example shirts or jackets. The outside zippers that close the case can be locked in two ways, first there is a combo locking mechanism in which you can snap the ends of each zipper handle (there are two zipper handles on the case, so you can zip/unzip in two directions) allowing you to use a combination to lock your case shut, additionally the zipper handles themselves have an overlapping hole where you can add a small padlock if you like. The hard case construction is made out of a poly material that does have some flex but seems sturdy enough to maintain its shape. Over all my wife and I are very pleased with this purchase. Our initial intent for getting this set was to upgrade our "go bags" from canvass bags to something easier to carry or drag behind, which the wheels on these cases makes much easier even on less then hard surfaces, and easier to pack. We recently had to evacuate our home due to wild fires and thus learned the need to have better "go bags" that are easier and quicker to prepare then fumbling around trying to keep a canvas bag open when you're in a hurry. Of course we have pre-packed our "go bags" as best we can, but there are always other things you need to add quickly if/when the time comes, like current medications, electronic devices and power cords to mention a couple. "Wisdom is proved righteous by its children" a bible proverb that means if you act wisely, the results will be better then if you ignore reality and thus suffer the consequences. I had bought this for an trip that I was taking recently with my partner. We ended up using and taking all three luggage cases. I didn’t waste any space with these and as I was walking with them in the airport, the wheels and handle on the luggage cases worked perfectly. I loved the colors and design of them, as well as the great quality. Despite the cases being durable and hard, it was lightweight and easy to carry around. The different sizes of the cases helps a lot for not needing to carry around extra weight in my future travels.

I lugged one of these (the mid-size) across Italy and I mean really lugged. I pulled it over kilometers of cobblestones and hauled it on many buses, trains, subways, and planes. I had to carry it up many staircases. It was overall really great and I was very happy to have brought this suitcase. I also really like the bag's simple but fully functional interior design. It was just right for me. I also like the color (I got purple), which stands out at baggage claim. It's really 4.5 stars but I rounded down. Here's the breakdown: Weight: 5 stars (very light) Durability: 5 stars (it held up to extensive rugged transport and handling and still looks like new) Wheels: 5 stars. This bad boy rose to the challenge of those cobblestones like none of my companions' bags and this really saved my arm. Handle: 3 stars. The one feature of the bag that fell short of my hopes was the handle. It feels much flimsier than the wheels or body of the bag and has a tendency to slide down when extended (as in, when you are rolling it, which makes the going harder).

Update after travel: They worked, but the zippers are the weak link. They are difficult to open & close because the material they are attached to is not very rigid so you have to kind of hold both sides of the suitcase in the correct place to get it to zip up. Also, if you are stuffing the suitcase, the stitching of the zipper material to the hard case is not very durable. It started to separate when I was trying to close a stuffed suitcase. The retractable handle was sometimes difficult to get back in because some things packed inside may get in the way of the area the handle occupies. Other than that, if you aren't one to super stuff a suitcase to return home, they should work fine. I have opened the set up & inspected each case. They all look very well made & the wheels, handles, zippers, locks all function as expected. It seems like it should last as long as any other suitcase. I shall see especially how well the wheels hold up because from past suitcases from other brands, it does seem to be the wheel that usually fails first. I will update this after use if I notice anything that I don't notice right now. I think the main difference that I might notice is if these hard cases will not be as easy to stack & strap together & maneuver through an airport or where ever the way a soft case set does. Another detail that I just noticed when comparing to the 2 pack set from Sam's Club Member's Mark is that the Sam's set handle heights are lower in comparison to this AnyZip set so it is unable to lock height positions at the same heights which would be helpful if one hand is trying to maneuver the 2 cases. The other difference is the Sam's set has a bottom grab handle on the large case & carry-on size case, but this AnyZip does not have a bottom grab handle on any of the cases. The AnyZip carry-on size also only has a handle on the top, while the Sam's carry-on has another handle on the other side if you want to lift it horizontally. These AnyZip are lighter than the Sam's cases & having less handles probably is a sacrifice for the weight savings.

I love the white color, perfect to match with any airport outfit. The three different sizes are really convenient as well. The smallest is perfect size for carry ons, and the bigger ones for checked bags. The bigger sizes are able to fit everything I need for a weekend, and the wheels are so helped when pulling lots of stuff.
