  • Works very well
I had a 3.5mm jack splitter and was running my Sennheiser HD 6XX & Antlion ModMic 4 through it. The modmic had a lot of background noise and didn't sound the best this way. I use voicemeeter Banana to keep an open line of communication with my significant other through Ethernet at home. He was hearing a constant buzz and all of my computer audio was also going through voicemeeter because I used a jack-splitter and not separate input/outputs. The AGC in this sound card works very well to remove unwanted noise. Since it splits the input/outputs it fixes my voicemeeter issue as well. ... show more

  • MUST HAVE IF YOUR MIC IS LOW!
I'm a fairly experienced PC user and after buying a mic with a traditional analog input (the Antlion v3) people were telling me my volume was low. After checking multiple settings and drivers with other people on Discord I had to search online to find out that some motherboards don't output enough voltage to mics and my mic required about 5v. This adapter was just what I needed, it worked instantly. I would recommend plugging the mic into this adapter and plugging any headphones into whichever slot on your motherboard that works as this adapter may result in lower audio quality for headphones than what your mobo is able to output. ... show more

  • Fixed Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Issue
I bought a new headset along with the ModMic 5.0. I was having EMI issues when plugging into the 3.5 mm jack on my computer and the front I/O jacks would not work for some reason. I did a quick search and came to the Antlion website telling me that I should try out a USB DAC, which they conveniently had a link to their own. It arrived and the installation was extremely easy thanks to the Plug and Play capability; Just be sure to check your default audio settings on your computer. As the headline says, this instantly fixed the EMI issue I was having. The only thing to watch for is to make sure the mic is snugly plugged in as when I first installed the DAC it was not picking up my mic. Again, I have the ModMic 5.0, so other mics might not have this problem. ... show more

  • Made a big difference over a no name brand or mic jack
Using this with a Modmic Uni and was always frustrated with the background noise and low volume of both the 3.5mm mic jack and a no name brand 3.5 to usb adapter. This adapter has fixed both of these issues. Probably not the end all usb sound card, but for $15 it was well worth the noticeable improvement for Discord calls. (note: have not tested the headphone output, using this strictly for mic) ... show more

  • Provided proper voltage to modmic 4
I have a modmic 4 that was doing all sorts of strange things when I had it hooked up straight to my MB (low or high volume, strange noises, cutting out, etc.). Once I bought this, no issues! Keep in mind that I have my own setup for audio, so I can't say anything about the audio out on this thing.

  • Works wonderfully
I haven't been able to stress test the sound quality of this card, but I can say it produces the highest quality my Sony MDR1AM2's can carry. I can also vouch for the fast and friendly support I received from Antlion (via their Discord channel) prior to purchasing from them. I'm unsure of the mechanics, but somehow I don't tend to need to adjust settings on my OS (Windows or MacOS) in order for primary input/output to shift over to the usb soundcard, unlike other DACs I've used in the past. ... show more

  • One of the most disappointing purchases I've ever made
Got this because I figured plugging my modmic into the builtin soundcard on my computer wouldn't yield the best result, but this isn't really much better if at all. When I connected my headphones (Sony MDR-7506) and mic (Antlion Modmic 5) to it for the first time at first I thought there was something wrong with my headphones because the sound coming through was very lacking, no bass, no mid definition, I was pretty upset because the headphones were new and I thought they were already going bad. But then I connected them to my other audio interface and the sound was perfect. Then, on the microphone side of things, it doesn't sound that good either way, the noise floor is awful and it clips really easily. I'm kind of upset about spending money on this, to be honest. The adapter that comes with turtlebeach headsets works way better and delivers much better audio quality, and I already had one of those around. ... show more

  • This is the one I kept!
This is awesome. Really boosts my headset mic without adding a ton of noise. I tried some other brands here on Amazon and was losing hope that any would work, but this is the real deal! Bought one for my husband, too. We use our headsets for recording.
