I bought this to supplement the thin foam kayak seat that had plagued my rear previously. On the last trip my rear was killing me after an hour without an extra pad. On the same route with this pad I went almost four hours with no issues and was very comfortable the whole time. The only thing I would do different is to have tabs or something that allowed for permanent mounting in the kayak. It doesn’t move while in use but it has to be taken out when transporting the kayak.
