This is a pretty nice seat cushion. I have never used one before and I wasn't sure what to expect but it's surprisingly comfortable. It's definitely much better than sitting on a hard seat. I like that the cover has grips in the bottom, that was a good idea. I'm going to try it in an aluminum canoe as well. The way it's made looks like it should be pretty easy to clean and dry when you're done using it. They even include a couple drain plugs for the kayak. Even though this is intended for a canoe or kayak I can imagine numerous other situations where a gel seat cushion like this would come in handy: camping, tailgating, even just as a cushion on a hard chair.

This gel foam kayak cushion is really comfortable. It has plenty of loft and doesn't compress all the way down in use. It fits well in my ancient Dagger expedition boat and will also work well on my Lady Love's sit-on-tops. We will probably be fighting over it until we buy an extra one. The honeycomb design of the cushion and the breathable cover makes great sense for kayaks, but it will also be useful for the car on hot summer road trips because it should help cool things down a bit. It's well-constructed. No loose threads or sticking zippers. It should handle the rough and tumble of kayak adventures very well. Reasonably priced and very comfortable. I wish it would stop snowing so I could get my kayak on the water and give it a real test.

Please someone tell me how the green plugs work...I am so puzzled. 🤔 I haven't taken this seat out in my kayak yet but will update my review when I do. Seems like it will be comfortable. Waiting to see if it holds water or will stay dry-ish.

Breathable casing makes this honeycomb style cushion airy for my bun-bun. I will be using it for paddleboarding, and this weighty cushion, sadly, will get me closer to that upper limit, which can be uneasy.

I don’t own a kayak but I ran across this item and decided to test it out on an uncomfortable office chair I have. This brought the office chair back to life. The seat cushion on my chair was hard as a rock and now after simply plopping this item on it, the chair feels like luxury! I like the texture and breathability of this product and it is priced reasonably. If I owned a kayak, I would definitely purchase a couple of these to go with it.

This is a great cushion that can also be used as additional support on a chair. The gel insert also offers breathability and can keep your seat cooler (or warmer) if sitting on a bench or bleachers. Used in a watercraft, this is perfect! --Silicone, honeycomb insert does not hold water. --Zip-off, quick drying cover (not necessary to remove cover--it is mesh and fully ventilated) --Soft support, and "generously sized" for additional comfort. --This cushion offers additional 1-1/2" height which may or may not work for you depending on your type of kayak (sit IN or sit ON) --Handle for transport Not sure why they include 2 green plugs -- to drain a kayak???? (Still trying to figure that one out)

We love to kayak, but we don't love the hard, stiff seats and how our backsides feel after hours on the water. So I got this gel cushion for our sit-on-top kayaks, because my husband gets fatigued--and his sciatica acts up--from sitting in the kayak for too long. This gel cushion is going to help him so much! It is very comfortable and supportive, and it is substantially made and sure to hold its shape over time. This would also be a good cushion for folks confined to wheelchairs or otherwise bound to sitting for extensive periods of time. The two bonus kayak plugs are a nice addition. This is a great solution for folks who love to kayak but don't love the hard, uncomfortable seats. Recommended.

Considering the thickness, this really is pretty comfortable. It conforms to your shape and doesn't really bottom out (no pun intended). It will stay where you put it, doesn't slide around, and actually helps keep you away from a wet seat. Nice feel, quality, look, and I think it is going to last a long time. I've had a few waterproof seat cushions before, none were better than this one.
