These work really well, especially for the very reasonable price. Some of the welds are a little crooked, but nothing that really affects the gate operation or the looks. The screws are already rusting, so you might want to use better ones than the ones that came in the kit. They are painted the same as the rest of the kit, but of course you end up scraping most of that off where the bit goes in to tighten it. I used different screws on the second gate and I'll replace these screws if they get too bad.

The metal frames are sturdy and a decent value. However, I would recommend using some quality screws and not what comes with the kit. The gate gets pretty heavy, I don't trust the cheap screws in the kit.

Seems to be pretty sturdy. Do not waste your time using the screws that are included. They snap and or get stripped. Once I swapped over to my own screws, the install was easy to do.

This unit may be a much smarter way to repair or install a wooden gate than making one from all wood. The brackets help keep the brace pieces aligned. All the hardware needed is included. I suggest using a good impact screw drill. OH the friggin string that attaches to the gate latch is trash. After a few simple weeks, it deteriorated. What string deteriorates that is supposed to be out in the elements? THIS ONE... Not a major problem, just get another string.

The screws broke so many times I had to go buy my own! See photo. The welds were so poor that two failed. See photo. And when assembling the corner welds were so bad I had the trim the 2x4s edges just to make them fit! If I had not started to use, I would have returned it! No way to give zero stars.
