Description

The clear stream 2Max uses patented technology to receive TV signals 60 miles away from broadcast towers. With quick-connect parts, the assembly only takes a few minutes. Its unique integrated diplexer for UHF and VHF reliability, receives broadcast signals through heavy foliage or roofing materials in your attic. The clear stream 2Max is whole home ready, so if you had satellite or cable service, the coaxial cable needed to send the antenna's signal to all your TVs is already installed. There are also many advantages to an outdoor antenna over an indoor antenna. An outdoor antenna will have fewer obstructions and less interference (noise) from electronics devices in your home. The clear stream 4Max HDTV antenna comes with a lifetime warranty on parts to assure you of the superior build quality and durability. Includes clear stream 2Max antenna, 20” J-Mount, all-weather mounting hardware, sealing pads, and instructions (coaxial cable sold separately).

  • great antenna
Style: 70 Mile
This antenna provides local TV service and works well. Occasionally when the weather is bad, there is a small amount of pixilating, but it doesn't last long. Most importantly, it has served us well for watching football games!!

  • Works good for FM
Style: 40+ Miles / 65+ km + Indoor / Outdoor
One TV station I like only comes in about half the time with this antenna, regardless of orientation. My old Radio Shack uhf only antenna gets all the stations seemingly all the time (but does poorly on KDFC FM). The ClearStream is now back in the box awaiting transportation to the thrift shop. I wish I had gotten the RS antenna with the VHF element (for FM). ... show more

  • Good Tech Support
Style: 70 Mile
I installed it high in my attic and got no stations even when using The Juice pre-amp. Called tech support who suggested I move it outdoors. When I did, I got 26 channels at ground level. After mounting it on the roof, I got 80 channels. Turns out the insulation in my attic has a foil backing. Insulation is on the attic floor and on the underside of the roof. I learned that my house is in a cocoon of tin foil. At least I no longer need to wear that tin foil hat. ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised
Style: 70 Mile
Living in a rural area in Northern MI prone to high winds, I opted to install this antenna in a protected spot near the peak of the house. It’s only about 22’ up, but luckily that side of the house faces due west where the towers for Cadillac and Traverse City are located. After scanning I was able to pick up 31 stations, a few of them duplicates, including the major networks. I did need to use nylon spacers on the two bottom holes of the mounting bracket to attach to the vinyl siding. ... show more

  • Works great
Style: 70 Mile
Installed this antenna in the attic, also installed an amplifier, due to the long run to my three TV’s. I can now get 42 OTA channels. With my previous antenna, I only got 26 channels, though I didn’t have the amp with the old winegard metrostar 2000. I’d recommend this antenna.

  • so so
Style: 70 Mile
we mounted this outside on the side of our porch roof. we got 4 local channels fairly good, and several weird oddball ones that play reruns from decades ago, we had to buy a booster anyway, and still cant get any more channels. we live close to Pittsburgh, about 30 miles as the crow flies, and up on a hill. and there are 3 Pittsburgh channels we simply cannot get in. I think its just that no matter what, it depends on where you live and where you mount it. ... show more

  • Great Antenna! Beats the $20 flat panel
Style: 60 Mile
So... I thought I would go through the reviews and try to figure out... based on the reviews... what is a good antenna. Well, if you are like me don't waste your time. Take the reviews with a grain of salt as probably 90% at FAKE! And not just the good ones, the bad ones are faked also. Look at the author and see how many reviews they have... if its just that one you can count on that review being garbage. The review of this product, will be based upon another product I bought: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBNG6ZQ/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4 That is an Airfree Direct 50 mils flat panel antenna. Now why would I do this? Because this style of antenna is an inexpensive antenna that has promoted in many reviews. You will see others claiming that this is a great antenna and antenna XXX does not get as many channels as this antenna. My Airfree Direct gets about 8-13 channels This antenna pulls in about 38 channels. * EDIT * I am now getting 50 Channels. I am dead in the middle in-between Chicago and Rockford. I am 48 miles to each city. With Clearstream 2Max I get both cities without adjusting the antenna. The antenna is placed in the same location as the Flat Panel. The location is indoors above the TV. I have no idea what good the little horizontal bars are for as they appear to have no effect if they are horizontal or vertical. The product comes shipped with the horizontal arms stored in a vertical position. They have a pivot point at the top, so the arms stow neatly away and that is where they stay now as there was no noticeable effect with them. Maybe FM antennas? The product ships with a small stand, more like a shoe that slips onto the black center support. It's OK, but it doesn't allow for much versatility in placement as the cable comes out from the back of that shoe. So the closest you can get to the wall using that shoe stand is about 6 inches. But all in all, This us a great antenna that gets the range that is promoted. The Clearstream 2Max is a much better value in my opion. ... show more

  • Was May #1 Choice after Lengthy Reviews
Style: 60 Mile
This antenna was even better than what I anticipated. I chose this one because it was both outdoor and indoor, was multi-directional, and had both UHF and VHF. Avoid outside mono-directional that requires pin point accuracy of your desired broadcast tower. Also avoid the flat, screen antennas for indoor and indoor/outdoor. for me, I am in a two story condo with outside deck upstairs near the living room TV. My stations were 15 to 20 miles South by South West. I had a large church 100 yards in the same direction and was higher than the deck. I had intense to use wood or metal extension to elevate this antenna 10 to 12 feet higher above the deck. But first, I wanted to see how or if it would work just indoors. So I grabed a 10 foot coax cable (RG6 recommended), connected it to the back of my TV "Air" or antenna input, then changed the "source" on my remote to "TV" then on the remote "menu", scrolled down to "Broadcast", scrolled right for the broadcast choices and clicked on "Antenna" which gave two choices: "cable" and "air". Choose air. After that choose "Auto Program" so that you tv can search and store what channels you will get (based on the direction your antenna is facing). Click on the "Scan" and your antenna will show DTV Air and Air choices you will have. Once you find the optimum location of antenna you're set. Just change the channel button on your remote. You will be impressed with how sharp and clear the OTA stations are. Don't worry its not that hard. The bottom line: my antenna is next to the tv and facing the wall that's between outside deck and inside tv. The antenna was not even facing South by South West and I got channels.
