  • Read before purchase (Creality Ender-3 3D Printer)
Size: With 2M Extension Cable Set
This product works well but this is not the full solution! Essentially, after paying for this product, you will need to watch a YouTube video on installation as there is very little manufacturer documentation. You need an ISP programmer or Arduino Uno to install a bootloader and update firmware as the Ender-3 has no existing support for this product. Then, if you did not purchase the package with 2 meter wire, you will need to buy an extender wire (which is more expensive separately than in the package). Next, you need the "pin 27" adapter board or else you will have to slice and solder wires from your board. To install the part, a 3D printed mount (i.e. Petsfang V2) is required. After that, you need to slice through hot glue to carefully remove plugs and replace them with this product's wires. Finally, install everything. In short, the entire installation is expensive. $50 (BLTouch with 2 meter cable) + $15 (knock-off Arduino Uno) + $20 (pin 27 board) + $5 (3D printed mount) ~= $90 not counting the hours you will spend on this installation. I love supporting the original developer but the competition ("3DTouch") can be found for $12.99 with free shipping. This brings the total package cost to only $53 which is roughly the cost of this one component! I think the original manufacturer needs to include ALL of the supplies needed with sponsored tutorials. Until then, I cannot recommend this product to any Creality Ender-3 owners due to excessive price. ... show more

  • Nothing beats the real thing!
Size: With 2M Extension Cable Set
I ordered my BLTouch through 3DMaker World after an order mishap from another vendor on amazon. Before receiving my BLTouch I had a BLTouch clone that was completely unreliable even on 3mm glass. The first picture is the measurements from the BLTouch clone, and the second is from the genuine BLTouch. I am using aluminum spacers to help with my warped bed. I will be double checking my spacers with calipers to make sure they're the same length, and I just received a replacement bed from the manufacturer. I already had a pin27 board, and a version of the firmware ready to flash. The wires were easy enough to run through the cable sheath up towards the hot end. I will be in the market for another bed leveling device, and I'll most definitely be paying for another genuine BLTouch, and I already know who I'll be ordering from. Thank you AntClabs for the amazing product, and thank you 3D Maker World for supplying a new version of the BLTouch. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. ... show more

  • This device ruined 3D printing for me
Size: With 2M Extension Cable Set
I don't normally write a negative review (Can you look at my other posts?), but this thing literally ruined 3D printing for me... for a while. My short story: I bought the Ender 3 V2, and I was having a blast with it! 220x220 was an AWESOME upgrade from my MPSM! I decided I would make things even easier on myself, and get the BLTouch! Big mistake.. HUGE. Dudes & Dudetts I haven't been able to print SINCE I installed it. It literally adds so much more complication to the mix. I LOVE to tinker. I figured "If I level the bed myself and get good prints, this thing should make me a rockstar!" WRONG. You start having to mess with offsets and meshes and all sorts of junk that adds SOOO much more confusion to the 3D printer. Unneeded confusion. I've tried since I purchased this thing.. and I just can't get it. Reddit posts, YT, forums. Nothing. Well, tonight I needed something printed, and I'm dead in the water, so I removed the BLTouch. I leveled the bed with a piece of printer paper... and BAM! Printing like a dream again after about 4 months. I mean even if I was doing something wrong... how would I be able to be back up and running again with a firmware flash and a quick level? If you can take anything from this rant, its the very fact that something like this device should make printing easier? Right? Do yourself a favor, save yourself some time. Just level the bed with paper and keep on printing! Thanks for listening to my story, I take solace in the fact that I might save you some money. ... show more

  • Caution! They are now shipping v3.0 BL Touch's which might not be compatible with your printer!
Size: With 2M Extension Cable Set
Ordered this sensor to fix the nagging bed leveling issue on the CR-10s Pro once and for all only to find ANTCLABS has updated the sensor to v3.0 and it is no longer compatible!!! Nowhere in the description does it say this is a new version! The issue is something to do with the signal timing output. The developer is working on it but beware, this might not work and can cause the hotend to crash into the bed! ... show more

  • Easy install, works 100% of the time
Size: With 2M Extension Cable Set
Purchased this for my CR-10s Pro. Came as the newest version 3 so I had to wait until firmware was released for the printer to use it. Now with the latest tiny machines firmware my printer can autolevel on any surface and my prints have a nice first layer every time. It is a little slow since it measures each of the 25 points twice, but as long as I don't have to remove the bed I can skip leveling between jobs as it saves the mesh bed level on the printer. ... show more

  • Love/hate relationship
Size: With 2M Extension Cable Set
When it is working, it’s great. Unfortunatly, I just ordered my third, not because I love it, but because they stopped working. I do not know if it is something I am doing or something to do with the controller board ( Duet WiFi). The last one worked for six months and I was happy as a pig in pie. I printed almost every day, but then I took a few days off and came back to a flashing BLTouch. Usually, that is a wiring issue but I made sure it was plugged into the controller correctly, checked all the connectors with a usb microscope, and even though everything checked out alright, I carefully built two new cables, but in the end, I was left with a flashing non-functional sensor. Addendum: The third I’ve worked fine with both the new and the old wire and connectors. Tried the old ones with the new wire and connectors and the still did not work. I would saw that locks it down: the BLTouch was mal-functioning on the two older ones. ... show more
