The AR1 Boot is made of high preformance textiles and synthetics to be lightweight and durable. Articulated rear ankle aids movement, while shin and rear plates protect leg bones. Boots made of breathable vented material, and have four adjustable steel/ plastic buckles. Four layer sole stitched on for easy re-sole when the time comes.

This was his first time ever using boots and the first day breaking them in and riding with them at Brimco motocross training school in So Cal. My son said they felt comfortable with long Moto socks and knee shin guards. He quickly got used to them. He commented the boots are working they feel great. I took that for what it is and let him enjoy his learning time. That evening i gently asked about the boots he said they worked good. They did, the buckles remained in place we had zero issues, they fitted great they worked and gave the protection he really needed and that’s all I cared about. We’ve only used them that one time so far but these boots so far have done everything required at a great price. Really impressed with these budget minded boots compared to others. 80% leather and the other 20% is man made. Boots are super stiff but with some leather conditioner and wearing around the house for a day after pre stretching by hand, fir wear was great. Rode twice with them after break in and had no issues and clean up after ride was on point. Would prefer more real leather around the ankle but the man made materiel seems to start relaxing a little more. Time will tell. Boots are true to size and fit well for half size larger feet. They arrived today and this is my initial opinion. My 8 year old wears a size 2 shoe. I bought size 3. He says they're comfortable. He seems to walk well in them for how ridged they are. The 3 buckles are adjustable and I was able to tighten them around his leg. They go almost to his knee and they are solid. I bought myself size 6. I wear 7.5-8 in women's. There is plenty of room in the toe but they are tight around the top of my foot and fully extended around my leg, and a little tight. The top rim isn't padded at all. That's ok for my boy who will be tucking his pants in. I have dual sport type pants that don't tuck in. Maybe if I had tall socks it would be ok. I will most likely keep the pair I bought for my boy and return mine. It was worth a try to buy kids boots for myself but prob not going to work. ... show more
