I ordered this in October, it is now January and the charger has stopped working, I am unable to turn the laptop on. I contacted customer service about getting a new charger which led to to a series of unhelpful emails each of which I had to wait at least a week for a new response. I was finally provided with info that the charger had a 3.5x1.35 mm port. It was very difficult to find a charger that met those specifications. When I finally did find a charger it did not actually fit the the charging port. I contacted customer service again to request a new charger day ago and have heard nothing back. The laptop only kept charge for 3 hour max to begin with. Very disappointed in the laptop and with the customer service experience. I would not recommend this product . ... show more

I was concerned with it being a celeron processor, surprisingly it's really fast. The display is really good. I'm really impressed with its operation. I do wish the keyboard was a little heftier, besides that it's great for what I do. I definitely would buy another one.

    • Really good computer for most users
I just got this laptop two days ago. I’ve been busy porting all my files over from my old Mac, setting up email, getting website favorites together and etc. and so far this machine has been great. Getting up and running took just 5 mins and was very straightforward. I love the size and anti glare of the large 15 inch screen, the computer runs smooth and fast for video, streaming, several windows open at once etc. The 12MB of RAM really shines and keeps everything running like a well oiled machine. I haven’t tried any games but I didn’t buy this expecting an Alienware. The battery life seems decent around 3-4 hours, and the keyboard and all functions work well. The only beef I have is with the trackpad. It’s way too sensitive. I had to disable everything except standard tracking and two finger scrolling. Turning on anything else caused inadvertent zooming, window swapping and other irritations. I tried and tried but after an hour of frustration, I turned the functions way down and now it’s tolerable. I’ve also since plugged in a mouse and this laptop is so much better with a mouse! Overall I’m really happy with this purchase given how much I paid for it, which was just under $300. As I write this review, the listed price for this computer is $1,019.99. I wanted to replace an HP computer I bought about six years ago. I paid somewhere around $280-$300 for it. I was constrained with what I could do, with little memory and storage on the hard drive. You get what you pay for. I wanted to stay within the same price range this time, but I wanted more features for the monetary equivalent. I didn't think it would be possible but WISH GRANTED! I have more memory, more storage, and better graphics (not a gamer, but I want to watch movies on my laptop when traveling. Not only can I watch movies, but in HD BABY!), a limited time deal stumbled into my lap, and I believe the total cost with tax was $351.84. The processor works great for my needs, and the camera is sharp for work Zoom calls. I purchased this product based on other reviews that have disappeared (or it could be another model, Amazon is weird sometimes with how things are displayed). Nonetheless, I am thrilled with my purchase! Now, the downside. I'm a Prime member, and instead of getting super fast shipping, I did the Amazon delayed delivery for a promotional credit. Big mistake. This is the second time I've chosen this option, only to have my package postponed when the expected delivery date is something different. I was supposed to get the computer on June 2. I only received it on June 6 and will never do that again. I suggest you stick with Prime shipping. ... show more

This computer is good for the price it’s asking. The mark down is meant to make this look like a steal. After having this laptop of 2 days I already processed the return. It heated up so quickly just running chrome. The speed is severely lacking and touch pad sensitivity is awful. You’re better off spending a little extra money on a name brand laptop. ... show more

I purchased this when my older computer started to make some odd noises in the fan department. I got it today, and I was kinda impressed when I opened it up. it looked nice, but thats as far as my praise got. the material feels cheap, like it won't last very long. Not only that, but the power cord is far to short for what I need it for. you can plug it up into the wall and not go much further then maybe 3 feet before you meet the limitations. there was also the worst issue in that I tested the specs and wanted to see how the upload and download speeds where like. absolutely abysmal. I have never had anything download a game so slowly nor have I never had to wait such a long time to watch a 30 second video. Needless to say, I will be returning it and will not be taking my chances with a no name brand computer ever again. ... show more
