Not good for a ceiling

Had higher hopes. Used for some retrofit pop-in can light replacements. Since these were held in with pressure springs they didn't hold flush with ceiling. I figure red sp double sided tape would do the trick and stumbled on these gel strips. Figured it should easily do the trick l. Was I wrong. These lights are lucky to be a couple pounds a best. On the first run Wlwas about 50/50 for lights that held strong and others that fell within hours and some a day to two later. Some tape ripped my paint off when the lights fell off the ceiling. Retape the ones that fell or looked like they were starting to sag. Trippled the tape and still a couple fell again. Third time's a charm for the reaming ones. Long term who knows if they were starting sagging or completely falling off again a few months from now. Lesson learned this type of tape is not good for this type of project even though it says it can hold Lole two pounds per inch and these all have like 10 inches of tape on them.

I’ve been using this double sided tape for table decorations. This tape has securely held candy bowls, candy jars, flower vases, and picture frames, balloon centerpieces securely. I’ve even used it to hang a curtain on a wall. Upon removal from the wall, there was no residue or damage left to the wall; didn’t even need to use rubbing alcohol to remove from the wall, I made sure I removed it slowly and gently, though. I’ve even started to use this at home for random projects. A little bit of the tape goes a long way.

Not very sticky

The stick on it isnt what I expected, it sticks to itself but it seems like thats it, its hard to cut pieces off and doesn't last what so ever, not worth the hassle to use.
