We have several sections around our yard where there is a garden, another section of plants, a section with a hedge and all of them already had some kind of barrier. There was, however, a section of plants along our driveway that were basically unprotected. I used this white picket garden edging around this section and was impressed by how easy it was to install. The no-dig design saved a lot of time, and the flexible sections made it simple to lay out. The white picket style gives this stretch of border a pleasant organized look. The style of this edging could be an issue for you. I mentioned the sections of our yard that were already handled by a border. The look of this white picket is so unlike any of the other borders as to look uncoordinated with the other borders. Having a section that needed a border on the other side of the house allowed us to install this contrasting section and it does look great where it is now. The package comes with plenty of stakes, and once secured, the edging stayed in place. The plastic material is flexible but also sturdy enough for almost any layout you might need. The plastic is thinner than traditional wood or metal edging, so it may affect where you might want to lay it down. For the price and convenience, once we found the right place for it, the border works great.

Unfortunately the weather down here is a little bit too hot for me to lay them lay the edging now, so I took a picture that shows where it is going to be. If you look in the background of the photo you'll see a fig tree and a peach tree, it is going to become the border for the bed between those two trees. Something I really like about this edging is that it comes with enough stakes to secure every section. Most kits seem to think providing one stake per 5 ft of edging is adequate. It is not! As a result I've had to purchase addition stakes for those other kits, which jacks up their project cost. That won't be an issue with this set, which means the kit is a great value for money. Before you lay it take it out of the packaging and spread it out in the sun, that will soften the material enough that you can get nice straight lines. Another trick I use is to lay out the exact line it'll follow with a hose - this gives you nice flowing lines when the project is complete. One the edging is laid, which should be within the next couple of weeks, I'll update the review with new photos.

I suppose if you have a postage stamp little picture perfect easy yard these might be all right. If, like me, you live in the country where everything wants to be invasive with tons of roots not so much. The plastic is pretty thin so I'd not expect but maybe a couple of seasons before they get brittle and crack. In ways the way you secure it is pretty good. It would be better if the plastic was thicker as when you put the soil over it if it comes up and pushes against it the pieces want to move forward and not be straight. That makes it look a crooked mess honestly. I'm just not impressed with these at all..and don't see wasting my time to install all of it just to have it fail sooner than later.

The package includes 33' of white picket fence style edge, 60 nail shaped helix screw type stakes, and an instruction sheet. It has a slanting top to add an interesting focal point to the edge. This can be installed right on top of the ground but leveling the ground before installation will be necessary. The stake with its helix outer side makes a good grip in the soil and keeps the edge vertical and attached to the ground firmly. Its white color stands out among plants' green and brown soil colors and becomes a landscape ornament on its own right. The plastic is easy to cut to a desired length with a sharp wire cutter. It will degrade with the exposure to UV rays in a few years and will need to be uninstalled at that time; until then it is certain to add an eye-catching focal point to any landscape.

This is another product that was delivered but is showing that it was not. Therefore, I must leave a review. That being said but I look for in guarding edging is its durability so that it will last the entirety of the summer regardless of the weather conditions. I was able to check that box pretty easily these are sufficiently thick, they come with the hardware to keep them in the ground and they're not cheaply made. To my pleasant surprise, 33 ft is plenty, I use these in conjunction with some fencing that I just got for the plants that need higher degree of protection, specifically, vining plants like melons and cucumbers. Long story short, I'm impressed these work, they're better quality than I expected and the price is better than expected as well I find these to be a very good buy. So if you need useful, aesthetically pleasing, durable edging this is your box full!
