I sprained my ankle pretty bad years ago, and wear a bigger ankle brace (covers a lot more of my lower leg) when playing sports or exercising. I wanted to try this brace as it’s smaller and looks more comfortable. This brace is both smaller and more comfortable, but it doesn’t support my ankle like the larger brace does. It does feel fine when wearing shoes with it and is better than not wearing an ankle brace at all. When I first put it on I did so upside down and after looking at the instructions in the product pictures, I flipped it. But regardless of which way I put it on, it feels the same so it may not even matter. The velcro straps work very well and are stretchy, so you can tighten it as much as you need. The velcro parts are sewed onto the ends of the two outer straps with a little bit of the strap overhanging, so I keep trying to pull on the strap part to loosen it. I don’t know if the strap will hold up over time if I keep pulling on them. The sewing looks good, but only time will tell.

This ankle support brace works well in keeping my ankle stable and provide compression to my foot and ankle. This brace is best for providing ultimate stability to the ankle; the downside to this brace is that it’s bulky (thick) that it’s not like a compression brace that I can easily wear in my shoes. This brace will work with shoes but for me I had to loosen up my shoe a bit to get my foot in while wearing this brace. I really liked how I was able to tighten up the brace to my liking, the Velcro held up fine and the brace was comfortable to wear. This brace worked well for me to keep my ankle stable plus I allowed me to continue to be on my feet even though my ankle was sore.

This ankle brace is easy to wear and not very bulky. You can easily fit this to your foot without having to compromise like with those basic compression style braces. While it offers good support for your ankle, the brace itself could be longer on both areas, under the foot and above the ankle. I think if it was slightly longer, it would offer greater bracing and stability.

I put this ankle brace on, strapped it all up (not so easy, actually), and felt instant relief. Then I put my shoes on. All the discomfort returned, and then some. I'm going to tell you that I really like the design of this ankle brace. Unlike others, this provides real support. I felt it, and I know it can help others. I'm suffering from a partially torn Achilles' tendon right now, and it's very uncomfortable and annoying. I put the brace on, and the fact that I could adjust it made it like it was tailored for me personally. Then the shoes... ugh! All the discomfort came right back. I tried a pair of sneakers, and the result was the same. In fact, it was way harder getting my foot into the shoe. I'm guessing a different type of open sandal, or perhaps flip-flops will work. I don't wear that sort of footwear, however. Getting a size larger in a pair of shoes doesn't seem practical, either. I suppose that the only solution for now is to wear the brace at night when I don't need to have shoes on.

I say simple because it's pretty simple to put on/take off. I have drop foot and I wear a brace at certain times (my wife and I dance a lot and I need the brace then to prevent my foot from "turning under"). The brace that I usually use has metal stays in the sides, is a bit more complicated to put on, and sometimes (especially when dancing) aggravates my ankle, by rubbing against the bone. So, I tried this brace. In fact, I actually wore it dancing. And it worked pretty well. Didn't give me the full support my normal brace does but gave me enough support and less pain from rubbing on the ankle bone. Don't know if this will work for others with drop foot, but for a "simple" sprained ankle, it should work well.

The wrap fits on the ankle very well but it isn't comfortable for long-term wearing, especially if it needs to be worn under a shoe.

I got this for plantar fasciitis. It doesn't work miracles on plantar fasciitis, you still have to do stretches, RICE, self -massage, but it does feel comforting and supportive while being worn. It's a good quality product, well-made and seems like it will last.
