I am a teacher and I use this daily for multiple hours to play music for my students. I have had it connected to my phone and to my laptop pretty easily as it is very user friendly. I like the built in controls on the top of the speaker because it makes it easy to quickly pause or resume music. I still typically prefer to adjust the volume with my phone's controls however because that feels more precise. My one complaint is that the built in controls only work with my phone and not my laptop, but that isn't necessarily the speaker's fault. I recently bought the Anker Soundcore 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker on Amazon and I'm impressed! As someone who just enjoys having music on while I work or relax outdoors or moving room-to-room in the house or shop, I wasn't looking for an audiophile-grade speaker. But I wanted something portable with a bit more depth than my phone speaker could provide, especially for ambient or classical music. This speaker definitely delivers. The sound quality is surprisingly good, especially considering the price. It's much more affordable than similar-looking speakers I had been considering, but the Anker Soundcore 2 performs just as well, if not better. I haven't dunked it in water yet, so I can't vouch for its complete waterproofness, but it did just fine in light rain. The Bluetooth connection seems strong, too. I've been able to stream music from my Pixel phone without any issues, even from a good distance. The battery life is quite sufficient for my needs. Rarely, do I need/use it for more than 6-8 hours. Depending on volume, I suspect it would go 2-3 times that duration from a full charge. If color is your thing or you want separate ones for different family members, the color selection is nice. I got the basic black. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. It's a great little speaker that delivers high-quality sound at a great price. Small, but mighty sound...nice rubbery outer cover which makes it easy to hold and stay on a flat surface. Connecting to BT will take a bit of patience. Tried connecting to multiple devices, but to no avail. Turned it off and on a few times...BT connected immediately. Not going to read into that too much, maybe a glitch with first time setting up. Has connected immediately to my device since the issue the first time. Really liking this on my desk, looks nice and puts out great sound at a soft volume (and cranked too). ... show more

This connected to the phone easily and had clear sound with good bass. The battery life was very attractive to me and the price is great. However, I had to return it in favor of a different one that had almost the same sound quality, lower battery life but much better volume.

I purchased this because I have a lot of their product and figured I'd give the speaker a shot. I was not disappointed. This is a speaker that I use primarily next to my bed as I can't sleep at night unless I have something going in the background whether it be a podcast, music, etc. The song quality is actually very good given the small size of the speaker. Sometimes I use it outside and I never have to worry about it getting wet and damaging the speaker as it's been great in this crappy New England weather. A durability standpoint it's pretty strong has a rubberized coating all over and seems like it can take a lot more abuse than I've given it. I like the fact that the speaker communicates with my phone via Bluetooth so I can see how much battery is left in the device. The buttons are not actual buttons they're kind of a membrane style button under the rubber which is perfect because it seems like they will last quite a long time. I've had the speaker for well over 6 months now and figured I'd give it a review after I've used it for a bit and it's been excellent.
