  • Works well
Style: Anker SOLIX F2000+F2000 Expansion Battery
Update: At least Anker stands behind their product. They reached out on their own initiative and replaced both units. New units have all outlets wired in the correct polarity. So I take back what I said about it being a design flaw, but it appears that some units made it out with that defect and my original ones were part of that bad batch. Do use a $10 outlet tester or a multimeter if you have one and check just in case though. It's best to keep electricity only to where it's expected. As a bonus I got to test the power delivery discharging the old units for shipping. Both units held 2350W output rock solid for the half hour or so getting down to 25% charge, so that spec checks out. Original review of the reversed polarity units below for posterity: ------------------------------------------------- Good specs for the price: LFP, GaN, capacity, and power delivery. However as several prior reviewers have noted, they reversed the poliarty on the NEMA 5-20R outlets while the TT-30 is wired correctly. I have two units, both with the same issue, so it definitely seems like this is just a literal design flaw on Anker's part that affects every unit, which I can't believe they haven't rushed in a correction on their assembly line yet after a couple of months of reviewers noting the issue. If you look up the NEMA diagram on wikipedia, you'll find that when you're looking at the outlets with ground at the top, both the 5-20 and TT-30 should have live on the left and neutral on the right. Well, when it's plugged into the wall in pass though mode, the 5-20 has a reversed live and neutral. While devices shouldn't care about the polarity in normal operation (they just need the 120v delta between live and neutral which the inverter does seem to do a good job supplying), you run into hazards especially with simple appliances that often only switch the live wire. For example, if a cheap toaster only cuts off power using what it thinks is the live wire, if you make the neutral live, the heating coils inside may be charged even when it's off. So if you jam a fork in there when it's off, now you've just touched live 120v AC. Now, this will still work with a bonding plug (only use a bonding plug when it's disconnected from the wall) as the inverter simply supplies voltage to whichever leg is not being pulled to ground, but as noted above since the TT-30 and 5-20 outlets are wired opposite of each other, no matter in what state things are in at least one outlet will have the wrong polarity, short of cracking the thing open, voiding your warranty, and fixing the wiring. That Anker's engineers couldn't spend 5 minutes to look at a diagram on wikipedia before writing assembly instructions for what I imagine is a multimillion dollar assembly line doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their competence. ... show more

  • Very good product, glad it has wheels
Style: Anker SOLIX F2000+1*400W Solar Panel
I bought this product because I worried about losing power in the winter. With this unit I can power my furnace in the event of a power failure. It arrived faster than expected, quality is great, I may buy another one next year.

  • Good Backup!
Style: Anker SOLIX F2000
It bugs me that these devices are called Solar Generators. What they really are is storage devices that have multiple methods of input; Solar being one of them. That said? It performs as advertised. From the wall the charge is lightning fast compared to UPS type products of the past, and This particular unit powered my Refrigerator / Freezer for a little over 48 hours on a run test. Add Solar input if your Sky permits.. and that makes it virtually unlimited. They are a little pricey more many these days, but if you can wait to get it on Sale? Do it! Its worth it for peace of mind. ... show more

  • Recharges in 1.5 hours.
Style: Anker SOLIX F2000+1*100W Solar Panel
I have been using this while camping for most of the summer. It is mainly used to run a portable oxygen concentrator over night. I can't run my AC and the concentrator at the same time while connected to 30 amps. The best benefit for us is the rapid charging. It drops down to about 35% using it overnight. It recharges in about an hour. I had a different brand initially, which took 5-6 hours to charge. This unit is pretty heavy and is a good size. It does have a retractable handle, which works well. The cooling fan is fairly quiet. I haven't tried to recharge it with solar panels. I do have one anker solar panel which has a sundial on it. That's a nice feature. I haven't plugged my camper into the generator. Overall, this meets our needs. Like any portable power bank, you need to realize that all the watt hours are not available. I had hoped to get two nights of use out of this and the generator doesn't deliver that. The oxygen concentrator has an initial surge of 600 watts and draws 115 watts. ... show more

  • A Monster Portable Power Station!!
Style: Anker SOLIX F2000+5*200W Solar Panel
This power station came in multiple boxes. They all came 2 days earlier than expected. Pros: This is a beast of a power station! You can connect it to the Anker app to track charging and power draw! This also came with Five Solar panels and all the cables to hook them up to the power unit. Cons: It took some heavy lifting to take it out of all the boxes. The Supplementary battery (That I bought Separately) Wasn’t charging and had to use the app to detect where the issue was. Overall this is a beast of a power unit. I bought this as a backup for my refrigerators at home, for power outages. It has a pass through Charging while charging itself which is amazing! This was on the pricey side, but It has definitely paid for itself already with the few power outages that I’ve had since buying this. I have not fully tested how much power that I can draw, but it can run 2 full fridges and a deep freeze for 18 hours no problem. If you have the money this is a wise investment on keeping power in your house. Especially with the use of the solar panels and how quickly it charges on a sunny day. ... show more

  • Expensive and poor Customer Service
Style: Anker SOLIX F2000
I quickly determined that the power station was not suitable for the purpose that I purchased it. I ended up returning it. Before that happened I got the run around from Anker. My attempts to speak to a customer service representative were a complete bust. Maybe this is what customer service looks like in 2023. AI generated emails from the manufacturer. I think the return/refund only happened because I purchased the unit through Amazon. This is an expensive, very heavy (85 pounds) unit. It seems well built but make sure you do your due diligence to make sure it is what you are looking for. Anker says it has a 30 day no questions asked return policy but its execution of that policy is where it needs to improve. And if you do decide to buy it make sure you buy it through someone who has your back. Anker doesn't. ... show more
