  • Works well, significantly cheaper than the official Valve solution.
I've purchased quite a few Anker products over the years and they've all been of surprisingly high quality given their price. This handheld PC dock is of the same standard I'd expect from all their other products. It's significantly cheaper than the official Valve Steam Deck Dock, but the official dock does offer an included charger and DisplayPort out, which this does not. I already had a compatible charger on hand, and DisplayPort was not a concern for my setup, so this option suits my needs great. It has an anodized aluminum frame, kind of a silvery-but-not-gray tone to it. It has rubberized surfaces to keep the device in place in the dock and the dock on whatever surface you set it on. The braided USB-C cable seems to be thick and sturdy, and will likely hold up well over the long haul, assuming you don't abuse it. My setup has hardwired ethernet in and HDMI going out to an AVR. There's a few USB ports (A and C) that can be used to attach other peripherals like a keyboard and mouse, or a video game controller. I mostly use this setup for Steam Link / Remote Play with my desktop PC, to put the games "on the big screen", and for that it works well. There's definitely a lot of little setup things that need tweaking, but that's on on the software side and has nothing to do with Anker's product here. I'd definitely recommend this Anker dock to anybody looking to dock their Steam Deck or similar handheld PC and wants ethernet in, HDMI out, and a handful of additional USB ports. It looks nice, functions just as it should, and seems of high quality at the price point. Just keep in mind it does not include a charger; and you'll probably want one that's at least 45W -- Anker sells a nice one. :-) ... show more

  • Excellent Docking Station for Steam Deck
I bought the Anker Steam Deck Dock in June 2025, and I have not been disappointed so far. I have been using it with my Steam Deck LCD, and it works perfectly. Nothing compares to the OG dock or other Chinese brands on the market, even if some people say they have the same components. The 6-in-1 USB-C hub with HDMI 4K@60Hz, Ethernet, and multiple USB ports makes connecting to monitors, peripherals, and networks extremely convenient. The 90W fast charging keeps my Steam Deck powered without issues. Absolutely a must-have if you have a Steam Deck. I have no complaints, and it has been amazing playing my emulators both on the go and on the TV. Also, since the Steam Deck can use PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox controllers, you can use it while on the bed, just like a Nintendo Switch! This item is around $40 while the OG one is about $80, so you can do the math! It is basically the same product. Even if I play on my 50-inch TV or 27-inch monitor, it works flawlessly. Since the Steam Deck has high-quality speakers, even if my monitor does not, the sound is still excellent. ... show more

  • Great alternative to the OEM version.
I was going to buy the official Steam Deck dock from Valve, but at $80... it gave me pause. I'm so glad I held off because this Anker dock is a perfect companion to my Steam Deck OLED. Build quality: this dock is nice and weighty. I never feel like my Deck will fall off the side table. Rubber padding protects the Deck so I never have to worry about it getting scratched up. Connectivity: The ethernet port and USB expansion ports are very welcomed additions. I haven't tested out the ethernet port yet (no room on the router) but the HDMI port works a treat. I also love the USB ports. I leave a 1Tb drive I had laying around as a dump for games I don't play often enough to warrant taking up space. And when I dock, they just pop right into the library. Setup and Use: Dead simple. Just pop it out of the box and plug in the cables you want to employ. Overall: It's very cool to have a portable steam PC that I can move from TV to TV (I have two of these docks). I also have my PC for 4K144 gaming when I need it, but I kind of prefer lounging on the sofa with a controller sometimes. ... show more

  • Works well; slight concern
Dock works well; the charging capability does need to be plugged in, but that can easily be done by using the charger the steam deck comes with. Now, there is a minor issue I have experienced thus far when plugging it in to the dock where the screen will remain black until you turn on and off the steam deck, which usually works, but I have had moments where nothing shows up at all and the steam deck screen doesn't pop up on the bigger screen. Which then results in the fans to whirl nonstop and the steam deck screen itself remains black. (Holding the power button fixes this by simply turning the deck off, but still a little wary lol) Update: Upon reading another review, it seems it has some issues with Samsung TVs (which is what I connected the dock to) ... show more

  • Love the form factor
I really like this dock. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because I wish the display input cable that connects to my Steam Deck was not hardwired. It would be nice to be able to use a longer cable of my choice so I don't have to connect my device right where the dock sits, but otherwise, this dock works great and feels very solid and durable. I now own 3 docks for my steam deck. The official Valve dock, which is smaller than this and more of plastic material, but provides display port out (unlike this). Much more expensive, decent product, but also a hardwired display input cable. I own the UGreen dock that is larger than this and also claims up to 10Gb speeds on the USB connections and etc, which don't really matter to me. The HUGE selling point of the UGreen is that the display cable is not hardwired. You can use a cable of your choosing. UGreen's is more expensive, however. If you just want a dock that works, that is compact and solid, you cannot go wrong with this. I am being nitpicky because I ended up with a collection of these docks as I'm trying to have one for each of my TV's in my home and like variety! ... show more
