Bought these boots as a last minute item for a trip to Seattle and Alaska. Was so happy I did, as we hiked in the rain and snow at Mt. Rainer and on some waterfall trails in Alaska. They fit great with thick or doubled socks and my feet were comfortable and warm/dry in the elements. They also didn't need broken in like lot of shoes, felt great right out of the box and for long hours and hikes. For the price, these are a great value and they also look really cute. Highly recommend, especially if you are getting them for a occasional use shoe and not everyday. These rival Timberland boots with the quality and comfort, seriously! I own 4 paors of Timberland boots as of now and two pairs of these. Timberland boots are more snug and tight fitting. Where as these boots give you plenty of room and space without being clunky. These are also very very comfortable, super warm in Minnesota winters, the grip is incredible, and the boot is well made. It does not look or feel cheap, it truly does rival Timberland boots. And its true, every single person i know has asked me for the link to these boots and compliments are many. As for the other reviews with their defects, im not sure what happened there. Im also not hiking in any major parks though, not that i wouldn't with these, i just haven't yet. The price is really good and compared to other boots in this price range, these boots are superior in functionality and durability, not to mention how cute they are! They are up there with the more expensive boots and may be even better as some of those too. I love these soooo much im taking the extra time to spray them and i bought nubuck cleaners too. I got these to go to Alaska and let me tell you I loved them. They were super cute and stylish while also being amazing for hiking. I got a lot of compliments on the shoes and they are comfortable to wear almost every day walking MILES. I loved how comfortable they are and they go with pretty much everything, arrived quickly and are great boots even for snowy surfaces. However, the laces are horrible and broke down quickly, broke down after having for a little over a year. The right shoe was starting to peel away from the sole starting at the toes. To be fair, I wore these quite often (daily pretty much) and went through all the elements of the Arkansas weather has to offer. I also am on my feet quite a bit and very much enjoyed how lightweight they were and cozy they were. I liked my first pair so much, I bought a second pair. They are sturdy and comfortable. Perfect for walking/hiking or daily use. I used to wear Sketcher boots like these that I loved; however, at some point, Sketchers changed the design and the new design was uncomfortable on my feet. I’ve been looking for a few years for a replacement and went through a few pair until I found these. Very pleased with them. After reading reviews, I did as suggested and ordered a half size up. I’m usually a 6, but ordered 6.5. Glad I did! I did add after market insoles just to provide a little more support, but they fit perfectly! I love these!! I wear them constantly throughout the winter and i get tons of compliments. The soles hold up and they keep my feet warm. I've warn the insides out and had to put new insoles in them but i wore them pretty constantly while walking on a college campus every day for an entire winter so i'd say that's pretty good! I had high hopes for these boots, wore them for half an Ohio winter season and they couldn't stand the test of time. Now mind you I was not using them even as actual hiking snow boots, I simply wore them as cutesy boots with jeans maybe 8 or so times. While they are very attractive boots and were originally comfortable, the heel/Achilles area wore down pretty quickly and started to rub badly in that area even with decently thick socks, also the bottoms (inside the boot) would somehow get wet after about the 4th wear. Not like I was splashing around in puddles or anything, just simply walking through snow or in some minor slush areas. Not sure if I just got a poorly made set or what.
