I've really embraced the DIY lifestyle over the last few years. It started off mainly fixing my Jeep, then that spread to fixing the vehicles of family and friends, then to repairing things around the house, and now soon I predict I'll be building things for the house. It's fun, and lord does it save you a fortune. I've learned over the years that having the right tool for the job is critical. I've spent hours trying to fix something that could have been done in twenty minutes with the right tools. So I don't skimp on tools. I don't often use an angle grinder, and when I do I have a massive one, and for detail work I have my Dremel. There are times that a full size grinder won't fit (or is just too much) but the Dremel isn't quite up to the task, so when I saw this little grinder I jumped. It arrived in a plain box and includes the grinder, two batteries, a charger (the charger plugs into the batteries directly), multiple discs and wheels, and the hardware to change the discs. It did not come with a case or bag of any kind and I think this was a poor move. I would have much preferred a case. This is a cool little grinder! It definitely spins, and I played with cutting a bit with it. It's a weird blend of precision tool and meaty one. It's heavy and feels rugged, not cheap at all. Overall I'm thrilled with this acquisition. I have a rust-removal project for my Jeep coming up and this will be perfect for getting those harder to reach spots. I recommend!

One of my pet peeves is having a tool set or kit with individual pieces that belong together, and not having them in an organized case. If Novorik had included a cheap blow molded case for this kit, it would have felt like I ordered a professional tool. Instead, I will have to hold on to the cardboard box to keep everything together. A small docking base for charging the batteries would be appreciated as well. When I used the plug in charging converter, the LED showed red when charging, and green when the battery is removed. This is counterintuitive to how a charging operation LED normally displays and makes it difficult to determine if the battery is fully charged. I also noticed that when you start to run the grinder, the battery supply indicator counts down at a rapid pace, but as soon as I release the trigger the count moves back up slightly and stabilizes. I did not fully discharge the battery to see how long it would run, so there is no data on that. The tool itself is compact and light, as it is all ABS plastic but solid feeling and durable. It is powerful for its size and should handle most light grinding work. The kit includes several discs, and you can use any brand 3-inch discs if they fit. Overall, I am glad I ordered this, but I just can't give it five full stars.

I got this through Vine and not sure I would pay for one. But now that I have it and gave it a try. It's pretty handy. I have multiple grinders and cutters in electric, air, and battery. But battery wize I only have 4 1/2" grinders, and Dremel sized. My other 3" cutters are all air grinders. It's not much larger than an air grinder and without the need for hose, could get into some different places. I do have some Milwaukee 12v tools but didn't consider their small grinder due to tool price. This tool does have interchangeable batteries but is an odd voltage at 16.8. But the instructions do stats it will run on 2 other voltages. Not sure if other tools system batteries will fit this though. It does come with several cutters and discs. And they fit well. Do need allen wrench to tighten the mandrel. An allen wrench is included but there is no on tool storage, so it may get separated from the tool at some point. Though it is a standard size allen wrench. It has good power for a battery tool. No waiting for a compressor to build up. Pleasantly suprised with this tool.

This grinder has came in handy for the more smaller jobs I do. It is a bit of a headache that the pieces doesn't come with a case of some sort. I like the snug fit of the batteries just gives extra security that the battery isn't going to fall out. and the batteries it comes with two. They charge fairly fast. I'm just worried about purchasing the new blades when needed but I'm sure i can figure that out when the time comes.
