I was using a Samsung tablet as a Kindle reader until I started having problems with the app and the Android system. I dug out an old Kindle tablet and started using that again but it was so slow and started freezing up on me. So, I started looking for a tablet I could use mainly for a kindle reader. , but also for emails and a few games. As I am retired and living on SS only, I needed something that was affordable. I looked at several options and decided on the T-13 tablet by YESTEL. When I received the tablet, my first concern was that it was possibly a returned product because there was a screen protector already installed on it. There was another screen protector in the package like the description for the item stated on Amazon. I'm still not sure but it's not something I'm going to loose any sleep over. The tablet came with a cover that fits it rather nicely. I'm not overly fond of the tri-fold base type cover but looking at what else is available as an alternative, this one is fine. I am impressed with the screen resolution. I don't notice any difference between the T-13 and the other tablets I have. I installed the Kindle app and downloaded over 1,000 files. A lot of files downloaded a bit slow but I think that is more due to my internet provider that the tablet. I also installed a game so I could check out the animated graphics to see if there would be any lag, and there wasn't. One thing I really liked about the tablet is that it is not inundated at the factory with numerous apps that I don't want or need. For an alternative to the high priced tablets, this is an excellent choice. So far, the only down side I have found is the battery. I have not timed how long a charge will last but it seems to last only 3 or 4 hours. The tablet was fully charged when I received it (another reason I thought the tablet may have been a returned product) so after I downloaded all the Kindle files from Amazon I recharged the battery. It seemed to take forever to charge. I ended up leaving it charging overnight. The next time I recharged it, I noticed the battery was at 88% and the system showed it would take 52 minutes to complete the charge. I plugged it in and read the kindle as it charged. A hour later the charge was down to 77%. I switched the charging cable that came with the tablet with one I use for my Samsung phone, plugged it into a USB outlet and it seemed to charge a bit faster. I also turned the brightness down from 80% to 50% so i'll see if that makes any difference. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the tablet. This Yestel T13 tablet is a fantastic value, and my wife says it is even superior to her iPad Air tablet that she has owned for a few years. We are completely satisfied with its performance, and the company has kept every promise that they have made in their advertisement of the product. At this price point, I highly recommend that you purchase more than one for your household. The packaging is excellent, and the add-on items are a welcome extra treat. This is such a bargain for the price, you get the tablet, which in itself looks amazing, works and has beautiful clarity. Its basically a mobile phone but in tablet form, I wish I could test the sim part of it but I can't but everything else works, wifi, bluetooth, email, surfing, etc. Then this unit comes with a mouse, a bluetooth keyboard, a stylus, a usb adapter, a case for the tablet, usb cable, charger and ear buds. Wow! I bought this for my mum so she can check her emails easily downstairs but if I didn't already have a system I would have one of these, its really good for what you need. I chose this because of the pretty color combination: white tablet and light green/teal-ish cover. I am so happy that it functions very well too: sharp clear screen, responsive touch screen and screen keyboard. Although it comes with them, so far I don't find the need to use the external keyboard, pen and mouse. I am grateful that it comes with a screen protector neatly installed (no bubbles! Yay!) with one to spare. I have used it for almost a month, mainly to store docs and music sheets. No more lugging heavy music books, and blown sheets when playing music outside. So far so good.
