It's ideal for heat conditioning as well. Ionic technology dries hair quicker, with less frizz, and less damage than non-ionic dryers. The frequency is 60 hertz, and the voltage is 125 volts. Your hair will be softly dried with constant, uniform airflow thanks to adjustable controls, two heat/speed settings, and a cold option. The most styling freedom will be given to you as a result. Storage is maintained to a minimum thanks to a retractable handle and separate, compact pockets for the bonnet and cord. Just widen the jumbo-sized drawstrings as needed, then tighten them once you're certain the cap is securely in place.

Has HOT and LOW heat settings, and the fan choices are HIGH, LOW, and OFF. I wish it had a NO HEAT setting, but, alas, it does not. After drying with hot air, cold air "sets" the curls, and they last longer. But LOW works alright. It's lightweight and easy to carry around by the hidden handle. The lid wants to keep falling closed during use, but I'll think of some way to address that issue. The bonnet is just plastic, but in the event that it should fail, bonnets are easy to come by. The elastic gathered face rim of the bonnet is a bit tight, and it hurts my forehead, but I just fold a paper towel and slip it between the bonnet and my forehead. great for my curls, its loud but I turn up the tv and watch a show while it dries my hair. i have 4inch thick curly hair so it takes about 30 minutes to get the roots dry.

    • Dangerously Hot TUBE!!!
This is my second time using this product. Overall I would have rated it 4 stars because it is fairly easy to use and it is compact. Unfortunately, it's fragile, it does not come with decent instructions. It is extremely difficult to remove the nozzle when you are done using it. Thankfully there was a YouTube "ANDIS BONNET HAIRDRYER REVIEW" that actually explains a very simple way to remove the nozzle without breaking it. The lid needs to stay open during use. My biggest concern is the tube that connects the unit to the bonnet gets EXTREMELY HOT it's enough to burn your skin. The benefits are you can adjust the heat, I use it on warm heat, and it's still hot enough for deep conditioning, the bonnet stays on, and it works great, you just have to be very careful. There are less dangerous solutions available these days. The manufacturer should at least warn people of the dangers. Please use with caution, wrap a thick towel around the back of your neck and your shoulders when using this product. ... show more

I purchased this unit because the previous brand I got was weak, the hat broke within a few months. And the heat did not distribute well. This one on the other hand dies the opposite, the hat is large for my rollers and the heat distribution is great. I also like the heat settings. It was a good value. I received it the same day. Item was easy to use, worked well and does get hot. there is a control that controls how hot it gets there is also a separate control that controls whether that hot is on high fan or whether it's on a low fan so that's one of the features that I liked about it is that I can get the heat but I don't have to have it blowing so hard so thus far this is working really well and I am very pleased with it. I have always owned a portable, bonnet style hair dryer like this. I have several of these hair dryers placed in the homes of family members I visit, they know it's my dryer to use when I visit. Overall these dryers do what they need to do. If you have a lot of hair or setting your hair for a particular hairstyle it will take awhile to dry. So find a place with an outlet nearby and get comfortable. The cord is standard length but make sure there is an outlet nearby that is not far away. The hose that connect the bonnet to the actual dryer is short on this particular dryer. All three of these dryers that I have of this particular dryer has a short hose. That's the only minus due to the limited movement you have with this dryer. Also the elastic of the bonnet to this dryer can be tight so you are constantly readjusting it and the hose for comfortablility.
