  • Good value
Nice little set of clippers for the price. Lightweight, small in size and cut well. Don’t know how long they’ll last but they’re good so far.

  • Decent clipper
I just received my Andis kit and am pleased with this product. Now admittedly, I do not have experience with clippers except for small battery operated ones, so my impressions have to take that into account. I chose a power cord unit over battery units because the battery operated ones were weak in performance and lost power quickly. This Andis unit so far is very adequate for occasional personal use although if I cut hair for a living I probably would use a more expensive, heavier unit. It comes with numerous accessories for cutting hair to predetermined length, much more than I would ever use. The factory packaging also included a small oil bottle and brush for maintenance purposes. The power cord was rather short and could be longer, but proper extension cords remedy this. The power switch is adequate sized and positive in operation. I did notice a decent sized ding on the clipper housing that suggested that this may be pre-owned. ... show more

  • Excellent clipper set
I bought these clippers to keep my husband from looking like a caveman during the COVID lockdown. :) Honestly, these things paid for themselves on the first cut. Are they fancy? No........but I just need them to cut his hair and that they do, my friends. They perform perfectly every time I use them. I've probably given him about eight haircuts, at this point........and there's no turning back. Last time I cut his hair, he inspected my work in the mirror (he's a former Marine and is particular about haircuts) and told me it was the best cut he's ever gotten in his life. Me and my $20 set of Andis clippers were pretty proud of ourselves. :) If you're in the market for clippers, I recommend this starter kit.........the value is incomparable. ... show more

  • because as a person who like to do this things in the night
When i looked for a hair clipper, it was either this or a Wahle home Barber kit, a bit more pricey, with a lot more attachments. In the end i chose this because, they said its quiet yet ultra powerful, it doesn't overheat and burn you, and its sharp self sharpening blades. Thats what they said and they did not lie, My brother who has used many shears and gave me my fist one a "budget and noisy by any comparison Conair kit". zseemed very impressed with he sharpness of the blade and how low it can cut, my only complaint it gets louder when its lubricated. This is not a major problem as it quiets down after a while. Durability is another issue tho, since i have no plans to play the barber role, i loaned it to my brother when he asked, a advocate of "greasing" asking me ever so often if i do, i think he did, it came back much noisier with a knocking that is not the result of added lubrication. Maybe it fell ?, wont ask cant bother, in any case it is not the same as it was, I'll just buy a new on when i can, because as a person who like to do this things in the night, the quite motor allowed me to not disturb my fellow residents and tenants or any other listening ears from far away, neighbors above and beside. I rather "beam" with quite fulfillment for a job nicely done without the added heat of ppl beaming down on me for disturbing them. I tried tightening, repositioning it slightly, didn't work, only when i squeeze and hold the blade hard, it goes back as quiet as it was before, that means in the not too distant future a new one, or perhaps an upgrade. ... show more

  • My kind of Clipper
Have you ever bought a pair of hair clippers/trimmers to meet a specific need? Mainly to cut your own hair, since the price of haircuts are a bit costly on a harsh budget. Let's be honest here the price of a haircut is an arm and a leg and them some right? And most barbers expect you to tip them, it's hard out here you know? So my story begins: I once owned a pair of cheap clippers that rarely cut and I couldn't stand them freaks of nature. They got hot each time you used them; so I got tired of them and replaced them. Then I had a pair of the Wahl Precision trimmers and they did cut with such precision but the thing was the motor was loud and it wasn't as light in weight. It did a good job up until I had given them to someone whom I choose to let them remain anonymous. So I replaced them with these smooth detailed trimmers. Upon a two day wait for delivery I got embraced by the royal red and beautiful black lightweight Andis trimmer. I call these my baby now. Though I messed up cutting my hair on this one they made my day with a precise cut, they made it smooth and even, very silent compared to the loud motor of other clippers. I suggest that if you order these also include to get the Cool Care they compliment the clippers oh so well due to maintance and keeping your top of the line product working like it was it the first time. What I wish these clippers had included was a DVD to show or demonstrate how to cut your hair if your are a beginner or just want to try a different style but all in all it is a very great product. Thank you Andis for such a great product. Thank you Amazon for delivering on time. ... show more

  • Terrible Hair clippers ever...
This andis hair clipper is crap, had it for 1 month and the motor started sounding terrible, rattling and very loud so I just stopped using it, decided to buy the whal color pro and ive been using it for the past 2 1/2 years and its still going strong only thing i had to replace was the blades, in wouldnt buy this andis clippers again, I recently purchased the andis “Outliner” believing it would have a close cut like it states and i returned it after the first use it does not cut close, again the wahl color pro still cuts better than both of the andis machis and cost less , I wouldnt not waste my money on any andis hair clippers again ill just stick to wahl... ... show more
