I ordered this set because we are currently purchasing a new home that has some patio space in the back yard, but it could really use an upgrade. This set of 9 interlocking wooden tiles seems like a great way to elevate the look, and it will complement the wooded backyard area. Assembly is ridiculously easy, with no tools required. These pieces simply lock into each other with a system of plastic pegs and rings attached to the underside of each tile. Once assembled, you inevitably will have an edge of 'leftover' rings sticking out, but I am pretty sure they can be snipped off, maybe even with household scissors. Do pay attention to the measurements listed and do your math, else you could find yourself disappointed by the relatively small size of the finished decking this single set creates. (See my photos for size illustrations, both with a yardstick AND with a chonky but still average sized cat). We will need to buy several more sets to completely cover our existing patio area, so it will require more investment. Still, for such a dramatic and beautiful 'glow up' to your backyard situation, I think these provide an affordable and hopefully durable makeover. Only time will tell how well these acacia wood tiles hold up to the snow and rain of Ohio winters, but I will try to remember to come back and update this review sometime next year if there should be any surprises, good or bad. For now, I am impressed with the quality and overall look of these decking tiles. They get an easy five-star rating from me, and it's pretty obvious that my review helper Paisley loves them, too! P.S. This set of tiles comes in a kitty-approved play box, too! ;)

These decking panels are super simple to put together and have no give when standing on them. The interlocking is not extremely tight, making these easy to remove for cleaning (debris falls through the slats). Great look and function for a workspace or garage. I am not sure these would withstand outdoor use and sun exposure, as the wood does seem unfinished. The instructions included provide the necessary info to make sure the tiles are rotated and correctly oriented for clean edges. They are minimal though (basically a small bookmark sized paper one sided) so they don't expand on modifying them against walls or for a clean edge of a patio. These do slide around a bit on concrete when not covering the entire surface. The plastic bottom grid really would benefit from some rubber feet, as most cases these tiles won't be wall locked...

This 9-piece set is really nice. Here are some highlights: 1. The color (I got the dark brown) is really nice to look at. 2. The interlocking system is really easy to use. 3. You can use these in very flexible way - anything from a 3x3 square to a 9x1 footpath. 4. I am not a light fellow - and I put all my weight with one foot on one tile, and it had no problem carrying my weight. 5. I plan to use these on my backyard porch. They will look great there and give us some protection from the dirt that we would otherwise carry into the house.

The instructions included are clear, concise and help to make sure the tiles are rotated and correctly oriented for the best edges. They could however expand on modifying them against walls. These wood tiles are great. You can connect them together using the tabs. We're using them to make a path along the side of our house. They are well made of solid acacia wood and a little less than 1" thick. They are 12x12...but you'd be surprised by how small 12x12 actually is. Order extra.
