If you need a compact hydraulic power pack, this unit is one worth considering. I'm rating it 5 stars, but honestly it's more of a 4.5 in my book. First, it's loud. Second, it doesn't sound like a piece of equipment that is going to provide years of service, but I have seen some of these go the distance, so I'm probably being critical. I picked this because I don't have a use case for a power pack very often. I mainly use this on one of the cheap Chinese hydraulic hose crimpers, and also with a couple of bottle jacks. For my use case, I would honestly prefer a non-electronic control to provide a little better proportional control over the pressure, especially when crimping. However, this has worked well. I just had to get comfortable blipping it on/off as I approached the target crimping pressure of around 4,000 PSI. I liked that this came with oil and was ready to go. This pump hydraulic pump connections do not match the cylinder. It’s a pain to find matching couplings. It takes hours to match, I believe Amazon should straighten these types of problems out ahead of time!
