I don’t typically write product reviews ….. I ordered this item and returned it because the specs do not show the measurement changes. I ordered another one and it was designed the same way. The unit is about 5.98 inches in the back and 5 and 3/8ths in the front. This causes the unit to look tilted or not level. It was pitched up about 20 degrees in the front. My cabinets have a lip underneath. The builder stapled a half inch board to make it level for a hood range. I used an oscillating tool with a wood saw bit and cut the most of the board out. I left about two inches of the board in the front to mount to. This allowed the unit in the back to be raised up about a half inch. Now the unit looks level. Otherwise I love the unit for the cost. The fan is strong the lights are bright and everything works great. FYI to change the military time …. Hold the light button for about three seconds. ... show more

Looks good and works, but there is no way it pulls the amount of air it says it does. I have installed many vent hoods for work and installation was easy. The metal grates are a thinner metal than others I have installed. For the price it’s okay, just don’t expect it to keep up with the smoke if something boils over in the oven. ... show more

Received the item and installed it myself, it was pretty easy installation in our kitchen. My wife cooks often for the family. We love stir fry dishes that require a decent vent, but the ones we find don’t work as well and often set off the fire alarm. But after installing this vent the fire alarm doesn’t go off anymore. It sucks in a lot of the air, the only down side is it might be a alittle loud on high power but it gets the job done so well so no complaints. Definitely would recommend buying this product if anyone in your family cooks often! ... show more

I bought this and designed my entire stove hood around it, I installed it and opted to recirculate the fan versus cutting a hole in the side of the house that was not already there. The listing stated that you could do that and I tried on several occasions to find out from the seller What it was that I needed as far as what size charcoal filters I would need but they kept going in circles and giving me ridiculous responses. I also contacted the manufacturer and they gave me a size for the filter but when I responded to get further information as far as if I needed to have a screw hole in the middle or if it’s snapped on or what they did not respond. So basically I have a decorative vent hood LOL because the lights are useless, the fan makes so much noise that even if I had the right filters I wouldn’t use it anyway. I don’t in any way recommend this. Also the clock is upside down and backwards, what good is that? Why even have a clock? Update….I purchased this item from Amazon warehouse, hence the poor customer service-they didn’t know much about the unit, when the regular seller saw my review, they reached out, several months after the original sale, and a message or two to them. It appears that my negative review was dissatisfactory to them, which I understand, as the issue with the filter was not of their doing. They did offer to and did send me the charcoal filters, which I would have been glad to order, had the responded to my request for information, as I knew they did not come with the unit. They have requested on several occasions that I remove the review and I will upgrade the star ranking, due to their offering to assist. As far as the unit itself, as I said previously, it is noisy and doesnt have the draw I’d like it to. The lights are very dim and we never ever use them or the fan. I love how my stove hood looks but the vent is essentially useless, but some thing has to be there, so it will stay. The positives, I did get the filters, it is a lovely looking unit, does not appear flimsy or anything. The sticky protective film works, however it is a pain to get off.
