A couple years ago I bought a Quest 2 because I saw a commercial for Beat Saber and it blew my mind. Fast forward to a month ago and I was SO EXCITED to get a Quest 3 so I could play this game with those sweet new lenses. Little did I know that Meta screwed up their controller tracking by removing the top cameras so anytime the controller goes pretty much above your eyes or out of sight of the front of the headset your tracking gets glitchy for a moment. BUY THESE if you play Beat Saber or games like gorilla tag. They will save you SO MUCH frustration from trying to figure out how to make those damn controllers work properly. They took a few minutes to get used to using, but I am no longer missing random notes and it is actually fun to play Beat Saber again.

This works well for what it is intended to do but is not for me. I tested them with Beat Saber and Walkabout Mini Golf and while they worked, I just can't see myself using them. For Beat Saber there are instructions included for the settings, and these make all the difference and without them you will not be happy at all with their function. The settings create an extended saber as you would expect when purchasing these for that game. They do, however, make it harder to swing because a longer saber is harder and slower when swinging. My scores dropped though I still managed "S" tier scores on easy. If you want a harder workout in Beat Saber, these will do that, and I really felt it in my arms. In Walkabout Mini Golf I was able to use a game preset to get the club to align and it does work for the game, but I don't really like the game so I can't be a good judge. It's just putting, so not a really golf swing. Pros: Good for a workout in Beat Saber. Seems to be a solid build with one exception. Has instructions to get Beat Saber working properly. Works as advertised. Cons: Plastic connection door that holds your controller in place is a little flimsy as seen in my photos. Requires removal of my normal grips and battery doors that allows charging which means I need to have AA batteries handy to use it. Takes a few minutes to remove my normal grips and change into these. Using the buttons of the controller is difficult, using this in a game where you switch from running and jumping sword fighting would not be practical as the controllers are awkward when being used with thumb stick, buttons and triggers.

I got these handles to make game play a little more fun! It makes the game playing more realistic since you’re not just holding on to the small controllers. The handles are padded so they are very comfortable. The quality appears great. Granted, I’ve not used them much, but as of now, I am pleased. Downsides: This comes with battery covers so the handles can fit. This is a downside for me as it seems I’m always switching out the battery covers! I have the normal one to put on with the controller handle grips, then I must put on another cover just to charge the controllers on the docking station, now I have to switch out the battery covers to use the Extensions. This isn’t a product issue, but a personal one. I just wanted to bring that to light if you use rechargeable batteries! Regardless, the ability to extend each handle individually or even add in the middle extra piece to make it one long controller makes the downside worth it. For those that are a little more adventurous, you can connect both controllers with the additional middle piece and make it one big piece and have both controllers in use. How fun is that??? Easy to use and very functional. Get them, you won’t be disappointed!

Unlike other handle attachments for the VR controllers, these are more ergonomic since they are not perfect circles. With having the design of them be more of an oval they do not accidentally rotate while in your hands which makes them not randomly disconnect while playing a game in VR. I love the weight of these as well, they feel great to hold. These also secure the controller very nicely and I am not afraid of the controller accidentally slipping out of the grip. Overall I am very happy with these and unlike other ones, I actually enjoy using these for playing games with my VR headset.

The AMVR handle attachment is a game charger for Beat Saber and Vader Immortal. The signal no longer cuts out if you lower your hands too close down away from the sensors. The handles have a nice size to them along with a foam grip. Can't really comment on the other handle configurations since I don't have any golf or kayak games, but it works great for the sword-style games.

I got these for my partner who really wanted to try out what we're calling 'darth maul mode'. But we got a different handle attachment on Amazon first and it broke within seconds and sent our controller flying. You get what you pay for I guess. Not one to give up, we gave AMVR and wow the difference in quality is vast! For not being much more expensive than the others, they were miles above in terms of quality. Due to the clever way they've mounted the controller to the battery compartment, they are super stable. No wobble from the controllers at all! The grip is lovely and easy to hold with no concerns of it slipping or causing fatigue. My partner stubbornly figured out beat saber settings to account for the new angle of the controllers, but if they'd bothered to look in the instructions that came with it, they do actually include beat saber settings! Way to go above and beyond.

These hand grips do look cool and was excited to try them out but to my surprise, you have to swap out the battery cover so the grips stay in place which might be okay for some but I already swapped the covers out so I can recharge the controllers battery on my charging bar. Having a full outside cover like a hand grip for these grip extensions would have been better. Those that use a disposable battery, this won’t be a problem for you.
